Quick Look: The Simpsons Arcade Game

man I used to play this all the time in the arcade and loved it as a kid but I think ill pass on this due to my nostalgia glasses I dont think the game can live up to my childhood memoryies

Edit:  So, this is by no means limited to to just Brad and Vinny, but it drives me super crazy when the guys devote several seconds to looking up controls, and then proceed to seemingly take nothing away from it.

This will certainly enbiggen my game library.

After playing through the last console Simpsons game, I'd definitely play that again over this. Not that this is a bad arcade game but the Simpsons game had so many great surreal moments including saving earlier 8 bit versions of yourself, surreal versions of the fantasy & WWII games with the Simpsons brand of humor along with many other great moments. Think I'll go put it back on gamefly myself as getting that urge to dive back into that game.

Between this and Altered Beast, I spent so much damn money at my local convenient store in the early 90's.

This game immediately makes me think of the mass of quarters I used to pour into it while waiting for my Mom to finish shopping at Walmart, back in the days when Walmart used to have coin ops sitting inside the entrance.

Lost so many quarters to this game in the local Wal-Mart.

They released an HD sort-of-remake of this on the iPhone recently, if that were integrated into this as well than yeah $10 dollars would be worth it. As it stands though, I'm happy I have PS+.

Hooray for Binky and Bongo.

Some games are best left in our memories. I loved this back in the day, but I can't see playing it at home unless it's in a genuine arcade cabinet.

Brad telling Vinny that they have to die in order to change characters even though there's an option on the pause menu is the worst.

DDR vs God.

The Simpsons game was fucking brilliant.

Simpsons Seasons 1-10, the only ones that should be acknowledged.

Wow I guess I'm not surprised... But Brad could not be more wrong about Mr. Sparkle... that episode was awesome.

just bought it and beat it and its still pretty fun worth the 10 bucks

As much as I enjoyed playing this game with my relatives back in the day, it has come out about 5 years too late on the Xbox 360 and at 800 points, I think is a total rip-off as well. Perhaps they could have done a makeover but we all know how well that has done ( Turtles in Time: Reshelled..ugh!) Sonic CD came out in December and that was only 400 points and that game is younger than this.

blinky is season 2 bradley santas little helper is episode 1 and he skiped the next 8 episode due to the fact thosse were written earlier

So when this is on sale for 400 microsoft space-bucks, I'll totally pick it up...

No offense to Brad, because we are talking about a 15 year game, but Turtles in time was beat 'em heaven and this wasn't quite that. In Turtles in Time, you have such awesome control over your turtle. The abilities to attack behind yourself and the amount of attack options you had were really something else.

The remake they released a few years back sucks though...

Fucking love this game. I'm so glad it's finally on XBLA, picked it up as soon as I could.
