Quick Look: The Simpsons Arcade Game

I remember playing this game in the arcade as a wee lad! This brings back oh so many memories.

This looks mind-numbingly boring.

I was recently recommended this site, which does a written breakdown of each week's new episode of the "Zombie Simpsons," as the site's writers call it, along with comparisons of original plotlines with new attempts at covering the same ground.

If you've been continually let down by the last decade of The Simpsons, it's a pretty interesting read.

I remember actually beating this with three of my friends at Scandia. This seems like the Simpsons game that someone would make if they were shown images of the characters, but had absolutely no context for what the show was actually about. Even as a kid, it didn't make sense for Smithers to be robbing a jewelry store.

That said, the game still looks like a ton of fun (and definitely was back in the day).

Your comment made me think about why I've known the pronunciation for years. Then I remembered that I watched the DVD commentary for every single episode of the original run of Futurama, so I've heard him get verbally introduced dozens of times. I REGRET NOTHING. The commentaries are actually quite funny, assuming you appreciate the style of humour on the show.

Funny to think that Jeff is older than Homer.

I have watched a decent amount of Simpsons and I also don't know who some of these boss characters are.

I don't know how you guys can laugh about how bad you perceive Super Mario Sunshine and the like to be, and then say that EA Simpson game "wasn't bad". It's one of the least technically competent games I've ever been punished with. One of the least playable games this gen, for sure.
