I've been playing this this evening, I probably would have played through the whole thing had my 3DS's battery not given out. It's super straightforward, the puzzles aren't any sort of challenging, but I was really enjoying my time with it.

but does it have cyber raptors?

I love Patrick's burn against Dota.

Also, this game isn't really a horror game, though I guess it has some elements.

I'm glad Patrick and Vinny went into this blind, personally I prefer that sort of Quick Look, particularly from Patrick who I find tends to spend too much time explaining things for my taste - I admire his dedication to being informative, but it just doesn't result in a video that I enjoy watching as much.

Night of the sickle weasel is genuine adventure game for Super Famicom and for Playstation.

I've seen the Game Center CX episode of Night of The Sickle Weasel, so It must be a real game.

This game seems pretty interesting, but I'm always cautious about putting down £7 for games on a 3DS, purely because I'm not sure'll get my money's worth.

Although this game is giving me some Echo Night: Beyond flashbacks, I'm pretty sure that's a bad thing.

Ah yes, the eternal charm of Ryan "Taswell" Davis and his "hmmm... bah dah bah dah bums" as he futzes around menus and tutorial text. I want to thank Patrick for at least having the gumption to play the game for a bit before laying it out for me.

I don't care WHAT THE FUCK anyone says Vinny should be involved in every single quick look. Even if some QL's need to be 3 people he has to be in on it. Get that dude a mic and let him say whatever the fuck he wants he is comedy gold.

I'm super interested for this game so I can't in good conscience watch this QL. What little I've heard about the game is that you should go in as blind as possible and watching 30 minutes of a 3 hour game would seem do defeat that purpose.

It's too bad though because (Patrick + Vinny) x Horror game = Great QL.

@patrickklepek@vinny Night of the Sickle Weasles was an SNES visual novel back when these things weren't terribly common (at least outside dating sims and straightforward adventure games).

It's awesome that there is a platform for smaller, Japanese games that are getting backed. I've enjoyed the other Level 5 games.

Sweetness, finally something else I'm actually interested in for the 3Ds. I'll be picking this up ASAP.

This game looks really interesting and I'm going to pick it up today. This was a really enjoyable quick look, in my opinion, and the QL team of Patrick and Vinny has become one of my favorites on the site.

This seems clunky and tedious... and the sound is terrible...

While you're there, tell the Youtube kids to suck a dick. There's a gang of sociopathic 12-year-olds who downvote and flag every Quicklook as soon as they see Patrick is involved. They got tired of getting shouted down here so they circle-jerk over there.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this or not but one or two of the characters in Starship Damrey are voiced by Jeff Kramer, the actor that played Francis York Morgan in Deadly Premonition.

Did he just say it's $7.99 in the States? It's £7.19 in the UK store - or nearly $11 to our USA friends.

Thanks for the QL Patrick + Vinny, I was interested in seeing how this was (also enjoyed the Dota burn in there XD). Seems atmospheric and enjoyable, regardless of its length. Will probably pick this up in the near future.

I liked all the Guild-01 collection games to varying degrees (Liberation Maiden > Aero Porter > Crimson Shroud) but damn if they aren't all interesting, so this new batch of Guild-02 games has my interest piqued.

It seems to basically come down to this: Patrick is in more Quick Looks than anyone else because he latches onto, and is generally far more enthusiastic about trying new stuff out than any other member of the crew. Jeff can do that too, of course, but remember he hasn't been around recently. Also note that he has a reputation for being very particular; Patrick will try anything.

Do a lot of users seem to think other crew members would be doing these Quick Looks if Patrick wasn't? In order for the content to happen in the first place, somebody has to be interested enough to lead it.

It makes me sad that Patrick is a huge driving force behind a massive amount of content that otherwise wouldn't exist, and is treated like a pariah for it, though I'm happy to see far less of it nowadays.

Sorry to jump on your comment there btw. I have no problem with your having an opinion and all that, but felt that the above is worth keeping in mind :)

Anyway, game looks great. Like I needed another reason to play my 3DS constantly... with Fire Emblem, Mario 3D Land, and all the other great stuff I'm getting more playtime on handhelds these days than my console(s).
