@brad They didn't have controller support on the PC version of Zeno Clash. ACE put support in Rock of Ages, but it is still to this day kind of messed up. My guess they still haven't figured out how to properly use the controller in their PC games.

I do love the games this team makes. Rock of Ages was a blast & Zeno Clash... well you all know how that turned out. Really appreciate their sense of humor & art

What was wrong with it in Rock of Ages? I remember that being the way to play that game because it was more natural for the actual rolling bits.

I love how weird this game is. But I also feel like with such a bizarre cast of characters, it's a real shame that you play as such a bland lookin' dude. At least that woman on your team has a cool hat.

That fov seems way too low for a first person fighting game. Environmental awareness is one of the most important things in this kind of combat and this seems to have barely any of that.

The FOV for this is so narrow, it's pretty ridiculous sometimes especially as it zooms in pretty often, unfortunate

The way those punches combo reminds me a lot of links in fighting games. Also @brad it seems like special attacks seem are any attack that uses both buttons at once

If I remember correctly, many buttons just didn't work right on my wireless xbox 360 controller. Maybe the wired version was okay, but the wireless definitely has issues. The last patch they released was supposed to fix gamepad support and it never helped my cause.

First-Person Fisting

It's a little annoying that Brad goes "I have no idea what that yellow bar in the middle is, they don't explain this game very well" at one point in the QL. Then about 45 seconds into the tutorial there's big red text saying "special meter." I so very much don't expect the guys to be experts at every game (sometimes the best stuff is when they just jump into something without any context) but I feel like for something like this, having a basic understanding of the stuff presented in the tutorial would be nice (especially since it explained most of his gripes about why the combat wasn't working the way he expected it to).

It's also a porn genre.

I need an ACE team/Guillermo Del Toro team-up.

I've played a bit before going to bed yesterday, this game seriously creeps me out.

@brad The special meter allows you to use said attacks that require both triggers to activate, such as the forward double-punch, or the overhead hammer-punch. You build said meter by either ransacking those chests, or by stringing combos on your enemies.

Also, that uppercut can only be executed when the enemy is dazed, which ain't the same thing as stunned which is what you require for the grabs.

I love the damn game, but they really could explain some of the in-game mechanics a little bit better. I've yet to figure out how the heck it is you level, or what those tribal totems do.

I enjoyed the first game quite a bit, and I'm glad to see they've expanded on the combat. It's sort of weird that there isn't much health to go around, there were oranges just about everywhere in the last game. Still, I'm looking forward to this, it seems way more out there.

Condemned had first person fisting? Man, that series gets weird, huh? :P

Atlus and ACE at teaching us fighting skills to fight off the weird creatures in the near future.

Hmm this game isn't even in the Steam Top 100 and is currently only midway in the Steam 'Top Sellers'.

That fucking sucks, Zeno Clash deserves better. Its Steam page isn't great though, not sure if that has anything to do with it. I suspect it would do better on consoles...I hope.

This just makes me miss Fear Gauntlet.

Narrow FOV make me dizzy when sitting 2-3 feet away from a computer monitor but getting dizzy while simply watching is a first.
