Watching Marvel Heroes I can't help but want to play a Star Wars ARPG. I'm actually really surprised that hasn't happened yet.

I'm pretty sure the idea behind Unprofessional Fridays was playing games they wanted to play at that time. Not trying to get the most crazy games together and play those.

But everyone likes something different. I thought this was a good show.

Ryan's creepy factor has shot through the roof since PAX East. It is glorious.

Edit: After reading over the other comments, I'd just like to say that I enjoyed this week's UPF. Cry of Fear was fun and I could watch Crash mode in Burnout pretty much all day.

I have to go with Ryan on Zeno Clash. I like FPS melee games(Riddick, Condemned, Breakdown), but nothing about Zeno Clash is appealing. I hate the world, and it's just annoying weird. Can't bring myself to touch it.

Those RC cars sound like they should be in Banjo kazooie.

And Alpha protocol was awesome...in theory!

It's Brad. They used it all the time in the early days of "I Love Mondays". Not sure about origin, I always figured they were produced specifically for that format.

Worst unpro friday yet, why are they playing repeats of all the games they played during the week. They have a massive game library, pick some other games.

But it's a Half Life 2 mod, Patrick.

Hardly whining, I pay to get premium content, if i wanted to see games twice I would watch the quicklooks twice.

You know, thinking about how grating the DJ was (yeah I said it, fuck DJ Atomica) and about 2/3rds of the way through traversing across the island was tedious as fuck, I think Burnout Paradise is not nearly as great as I wanted it to be. Granted, I only got into the online near the back end but by that point I was fucking sick of that Island and muting the music and voice in favor of my own tracks on the PC.

Goddamn it I wish those older Burnout games were/would be available on PC, I would have love to play those and experience a good Burnout again. While Criterion has been busy with racing games all throughout, I would like to remind everyone that there hasn't been a Burnout game for 6+ years now.

I played that RC cars game a lot at PC bangs it was a lot of fun.

No it is not. It's a total conversion mod of the original Half-Life.

@void Oh, my bad. The game just looked too good for HL1's engine for that to be the case. I guess you can do tons to improve the graphics it outputs.

@djm389: This is the first week I've noticed consistent complaints, and the first week that I felt I had to say something as well. I usually don't comment at all. Sure I don't like some game choices sometimes, but I disliked ALL the choices this week. It was a shitty lineup, and I think that also effected the witty banter in a negative way. You could just tell that Jeff was SO bored watching Drew play that micro-machines esque game. And Ryan playing Burnout after putting up a encyclopedia bombastica of it the same week? Yeah, it was lazy and repetitive, as others have said. Not saying it's the their fault necessarily. They probably didn't realize so many people would find it boring. But yeah, these are not the kinds of games I want to see, ideally. They're not games that are either intrinsically interesting or provide opportunities for funny moments and funny banter. They're just boring.

The presentation really changed a lot between Burnout 2 and 3. 2 looks like an Eastern European low budget driving game while 3 looks like a modern game and it did not change much for Revenge on the 360.

Well shit, how 'bout that. That's cool.

They will get a shit ton of my money if they add Dr. Strange to the Marvel Heroes game.

It's just a primitive caveman world, which has some twists that Patrick alludes to later in the story. There's an internal fiction to the world really like in the woods you see the equivalent of uninhibited mental patients (Corwids of the Free). The Golems control each of the four directions. There's more to the world than the primitive looking Zenozoik. It's not all weird for the sake of being weird. There is some brilliant surreal stuff though, like huge hands holding up bridges beyond the end world.

You're guaranteed an eyegasm every 30 min. Possibly the most imaginative world in a game.

I have no problems with this edition like others are, them playing Cry of Fear was one of the best segments I've seen on Giant Bomb this year. Loved it.

Couldn't care less about the weird punching game. I think Brad has the weirdest/lamest stuff to showcase on these.

Old Burnout is so much better than Paradise, least that's how I feel. Takedown easily the best in the series. Revenge was fun to though.

I've only ever really enjoyed one of these, it was the three hour one where they played Thayer's Quest at the end. Even that one had problems though.

The secret? Less dudes; there were four in that show. I truly feel the more dudes you cram into one of these the worse it gets, you absolutely can sense awkwardness and boredom at times. It does depend on the games though.

I loved the Cry of Fear part and nothing else really. I guess that's the inherent problem with this format, you're not gonna enjoy everything, but even so the atmosphere is so weird and cold.

They will continue to play whatever the fuck they want to so keep bitching. Your free to cancel your memberships whenever you want.

Cool UPF. The game selections were puzzling but I enjoyed it. Oddly enough, I kinda wanna try Zeno Clash. That area at the end gave it potential because it may have some sights worth seeing.

As usual, Brad is horrible at games.
