Thursday Night Throwdown, Giant Bomb's live weekly multiplayer show, leaps blindly into its third week with the third in EA Black Box'sskateboard fantasy series, the aptly and efficiently named Skate 3! If that sounds like something you're into, hey, we'll be playing Skate 3 on the Xbox 360 between 4PM and 6PM PDT this Thursday May 13th, 2010. By the virtue of the smaller, team-based multiplayer in Skate 3, we probably won't get to play with as many of you as we did, say, Halo: Reach, but how often does a worthwhile skateboarding game with a strong multiplayer component come out? (That's a rhetorical question, by the way. Right now it's locked in at every 18 months.)
So if you want a shot at out-ollying Giant Bomb's resident skate expert Jeff Gerstmann, send you a friend request to the gamertag GBTNT and hope for the best. Of course, you can also just watch the action on our live stream and cause a ruckus in the chat room if that's more your speed.
UPDATE: This week's TNT is now over! Thanks to everyone who joined us, and if you missed it, you can catch an archived version of the last 43 minutes of the broadcast in the window below. Enjoy!

Yay, it's loading at about a pixel every 5 seconds, at fullscreen 1280x1024. Anyone wanna do the math on that? =( Anyway hopefully I can actually watch this week (live, anyway), should be good! And maybe the smaller number of people will allow for a little more... intimacy...
Doubt I'll stay up until 1:00am to watch this weeks one. Alas, I totally got to play against Jeff last week which was awesome.
Oh yeah, I'll say it as well. RDR next week would be swell.
I would totally play, but I don't have live. I would totally watch, but I'd like to explore the city myself before seeing you guys do it. I totally wouldn't expect that many GiantBombers to be into skate. We shall see. Oh yes and THANKYOU RYAN for putting Animal Chin up. You're a class act my friend!
" Did they ever upload/code the Reach TNT to be watchable on GB? "They're not going to upload any of the TNT videos on GiantBomb, you have to watch it on the ustream channel.
" @Atomasist: Well, they did with the first one...just didnt with the 2nd one. "Actually they didn't, the SSF4 video I believe your referring to was an early look of the game that they streamed. As of today no TNT video has been uploaded to GiantBomb.
Man, that kinda sucks that they arent gonna do a little PS3 action :/. Totally would have tried to out-freefall them in skate 3. I hope they reconsider :D. If not, all well, :/.
Pity its happening tonight & not tomorrow (Friday). Skate 3 isn't released here in the UK until tomorrow and I would have loved to have played with you all tonight. I'm a Skate 1 & 2 veteran and they are the games I play by far the most on my xbox.
Shame there wasn't anyother better games out this week. But at least you have a few to pick from next week such as Split/Second, RDR and ModNation Racers
If this wasn't going on while my Thursday night NBC comedies were on TV, I would join in. But the timing is just too bad.
And those complaining about lack of PS3, tough shit. If this was last generation and you were Xbox1 owners complaining about all games being played on PS2, every single response would be to just buy the popular console to have alongside the niche one you already own.
"Last time I checked, the community total boards sold was about 480,000,000. Which means that at least four hundred people have completely finished the game. That's not including all of the people who aren't obsessed with clearing all the goals, such as myself. This is great news for the 5 people that play this game
"
" no PS3 love ? i can understand with reach but Skate is on the PS3. If GB picks Red dead redemption for a TNT can you please do the PS3 version as well, I would love to get the chance to play. "Yes lets hope they pick the Ps3 version for RDR :P
