Give me characters with skulls for heads!

#1 Edited by Hamst3r (4882 posts) -

I need them. I need all of them.

You know what I'm talking about: Not skeletons. Not skull masks. Fleshy bodies with fleshless heads. Skull heads.

Hey guys...

Can you dig it?

Does this dude count?:

Thanatos

Also:

Emil
#3 Posted by Hamst3r (4882 posts) -

@FluxWaveZ: Thanatos looks close enough to me! Emil on the other hand looks like an actual skeleton, with those boney feet.

That main character dude from PS1's Medieval?

He's a full-on skeleton, so doesn't qualify. :D

No dice.

@Hamst3r: Hm, okay. Other one I can think of is Arakune:

Arakune

His body's not really fleshy, though, and his head's kind of like a skull mask (even though it's an actual head).

@Akrid: Oh yeah, going by that:

Dormammu

@Hamst3r: Not quite sure how you'd qualify this one: Kid Chameleon

His real life manifestation is that of a basic kid, but in the game he can pick up a skull helmet and turn into a tank-driving-skull-headed tank driver guy. You can see it on the cover:

If I remember correctly, for a few seconds in between transforming into that tank driver, his head is that of a skull, but his body remains fleshy.

The enemies in Co-op Crushing difficulty in Uncharted 2.

I was at the end of a week long meth binge and started picking at my face.  You know how it is when bugs burrow into your flesh and you just have to dig them out with a rusty coat hanger you heat up with a lighter.  I was shocked to find there was a fucking skull under my scalp.  That means that inside us all is a stalfos waiting to break out and murder people.  WTFuck man!!! That is some spooky shit.

@Hamst3r: Some users are proposing that cyborgs with heads shaped like skulls be added to this concept page. I'm going to say that doesn't count, correct?

#13 Posted by Pie (7217 posts) -

@JCTango: Man I haven't thought of that game in years.

It's one of my love/hate games on the Genesis - I love being able to swap abilities based on what I want to do (and what's available), but it's also pretty dang tough. Plus those bodiless boss heads with eyes that pop out when you kill them freaked me out too as a kid.

I play it again once in a while.

"Ooooh ooooh ooooh..... DIE!"

@ZombiePie: Yeah, doesn't really count. :3

Uncharted's 3 "Red Guys"

Does Take-Mikazuchi count? If not, then does Red Skull?

The main character from that shitty flash game Skullkid. Unless it's a mask but it's been awhile.

How about everybody in Raskulls?

King skull dude

By the way, that game is awesome.

Question here is if human characters that transform into skull headed humanoids should be added to this concept page. I'd say yes, but could go either way.

Do Matador and Jack Skellington count? They're on the fence.

Every image of Jack Skellington depicts him as having bones for hands so I'd say he's a skeleton and not a humanoid. I have no idea about Matador seeing how he wears gloves.

morte and johnson are just skull heads, do those count?

I don't think so :( I was gonna add those too, but they need to have a body.

@ZombiePie:

He looks meaty enough, so I'd count him. Also, Mother Harlot.

Skull-headed humanoid is the key. If they're fleshy everywhere aside from the head, they're good to go. If they're bones all over, they're a skeleton.

Also, in regards to the transformation aspect: magical transformations are perfectly fine. If they just put on a costume, helmet or such, that's not really in the same spirit.

EDIT:

That Mother Harlot one is great. I wouldn't have thought of her.

Mumbo Jumbo from Banjo Kazooie.

Is it just a mask on Death in Darksiders 2?

I have never even considered this idea before. Now that it's been brought up as a concept... I now want to know all of them. ALL of them!

No Skull Kid? What the fuck people?

#34 Posted by Eirikr (1083 posts) -

Though it's not really used anymore, the old design for Tezcatlipoca totally fits the bill.

Skull masks don't count Taskmaster and a few others need to be taken off the list.

Ah! I see. I thought it was his head, from pictures like this:

But a little research about him and it's definitely a mask. :3

I had a question about this that didn't seem like it warranted a new thread. Does their body need to be human or can I add an animal with a skull head?

Animals with skull heads are okay, I think. They've got fleshy bodies.
