    Skull For A Head

    Concept »

While completely normal from the neck down, these characters seem to be lacking a bit of skin up top. Creepy.

Give me characters with skulls for heads!

I need them. I need all of them.

You know what I'm talking about: Not skeletons. Not skull masks. Fleshy bodies with fleshless heads. Skull heads.

    Hey guys...

@FluxWaveZ: Thanatos looks close enough to me! Emil on the other hand looks like an actual skeleton, with those boney feet.

    He's a full-on skeleton, so doesn't qualify. :D

@Hamst3r: Hm, okay. Other one I can think of is Arakune:

    Arakune
    Arakune

His body's not really fleshy, though, and his head's kind of like a skull mask (even though it's an actual head).

@Akrid: Oh yeah, going by that:

@Hamst3r: Not quite sure how you'd qualify this one: Kid Chameleon

His real life manifestation is that of a basic kid, but in the game he can pick up a skull helmet and turn into a tank-driving-skull-headed tank driver guy. You can see it on the cover:

    No Caption Provided

If I remember correctly, for a few seconds in between transforming into that tank driver, his head is that of a skull, but his body remains fleshy.

I was at the end of a week long meth binge and started picking at my face.  You know how it is when bugs burrow into your flesh and you just have to dig them out with a rusty coat hanger you heat up with a lighter.  I was shocked to find there was a fucking skull under my scalp.  That means that inside us all is a stalfos waiting to break out and murder people.  WTFuck man!!! That is some spooky shit.

It's one of my love/hate games on the Genesis - I love being able to swap abilities based on what I want to do (and what's available), but it's also pretty dang tough. Plus those bodiless boss heads with eyes that pop out when you kill them freaked me out too as a kid.

I play it again once in a while.

Every image of Jack Skellington depicts him as having bones for hands so I'd say he's a skeleton and not a humanoid. I have no idea about Matador seeing how he wears gloves.

Skull-headed humanoid is the key. If they're fleshy everywhere aside from the head, they're good to go. If they're bones all over, they're a skeleton.

Also, in regards to the transformation aspect: magical transformations are perfectly fine. If they just put on a costume, helmet or such, that's not really in the same spirit.

    EDIT:

That Mother Harlot one is great. I wouldn't have thought of her.

Animals with skull heads are okay, I think. They've got fleshy bodies.
