I Will Not Buy This StarCraft II Collector's Edition
I told myself I wasn't going to buy the Prestige Edition of Modern Warfare for months....until I finally caved and bought it.
Your resistance is futile, Brad. Just accept it and buy the Collector's Edition.
" It depends on if they are doing CE's for the other 2 games, I'd much rather get the Protoss custom texture, and I bet you would too Brad =P "yearh im allmost sold i normaly never buy ce but an thinking abit about this one but the protoss ce is allready sold on me so dont know if i should skip this and hope the same deal is with the protoss though
lets face it - you probably will brad.... or maybe jeff should get it to add to his star trek lifetime thang :P
i will....... NOT.... get it................. hopefully :P
" @Dynoro said:If they have predownloading you will be fine, but otherwise downloading and presumably day 1 patching will take hours due to server congestion. It might be faster to get to the store. =X Depends on where you live I guess =P" @Pinworm45: Blizzard games come with the DD version too nowadays :) "Yeah true, the main issue is how fast I can get the game. Having to go to the store could take many hours more than getting it online, what with the waiting for stores to open and driving..gah "
I'm interested in the artbook and soundtrack. I'm afraid that if I buy it I feel obliged to play WoW (Something I have never done except for three days in a trial) because otherwise I would have thrown my money away. Ugh.
- A World of Warcraft® mini Thor in-game pet that can be applied to all World of Warcraft characters on a single Battle.net account
Brad, just sell the WoW pet on eBay. Instant $40 back that you will pay over the retail price. It's worth it! DO IT!!!!!
- An exclusive 2GB USB flash drive replica of Jim Raynor's dog tag, which comes preloaded with the original StarCraft and the StarCraft: Brood War® expansion set
" Really not worth it. I'd never spend $100 on a video game. There are more important things. "Indeed.
" I'm incredibly pissed off that Blizzard is going to charge $60 for the normal edition of the game, but god damn it its Starcraft 2. I'm going to keep telling myself not to buy it, but I know its futile. Like you Brad I will probably end up caving in and buying the $100 CE. "They started the $60 price point with Warcraft 3, right? I think $40 is fair to cover all those extras.
Like Michael Pachter said, " Even though everybody thinks SC2 is a hard-core game, it's actually a casual game and it will sell bajillion copies." Which in my opinion is a pity because Blizzard are lame and thank the Emperor that we have a few other studios who still make great PC games.
They should make SC free when SC2 comes out instead of adding it too the CE so they can "justify" the $100 price-point.
Bah i'm getting it. I dont have the will power to resist this one. That's a good box full of goodies anyway :)
As much as I love Starcraft (and as much as it has a huge nostalgic factor for me) I can't see myself buying Starcraft 2 just because I won't be able to commit the amount of time necessary to actually get half decent at this game so that I don't get a, "dude you suck" message every time I lose a 2v2.
