Hmm i am quite interested in this, i always thought that i hated RTS games, but i loved Dawn of War 2 and was suitably GUTTED once i had completed the campaign and my hard drive failed  :( 
 
So i never played it again, although i am currently 11 hours into Chaos Rising and still loving it, seriously people, do you think i might like this game? (never played the original)

Just curious, have you played any of the custom maps yet? The main reason I am interested in Starcraft 2 is for it's modding capabilities and I've been doing a bit of research and there seems to be A LOT of minigames being made using the editor such as Whack-A-Mole, a Beat-em-up style game, and even a Pokemon style game. All of these are cool and that but i'm wondering if you know about the full capabilities of the editor and if it is possible to create much bigger mods for the game, possibly total conversions?

As a RTS noob does the campaign ease you into the multiplayer aspect.

I agree, Giantbomb should do more of these. Giving their personal opinions in more detail or other interest concepts.  
 
Loving Starcraft 2 so far, never played the franchise before but my love for Warcraft is showing through. 

Curse you Shoemaker your excitement for this game is contagious... now I have the limited edition winging it's way to me.

 Is there any way at all to switch region on battle.net free before having to purchase another copy of the game? I travel an awful lot which has meant I've got countless friends in both NA / EU playing Starcraft 2 which I'd like to be able to hook up with now and then. 

I'd like to see more solo video blogs from the entire crew about games they're currently playing.

I would definitely like to see a follow up, in many respects its more informative than a video review. Replacing video reviews with quicklooks and these first impressions vlogs and then doing a comprehensive written review would be great.

I enjoyed this. Thanks, Brad. Certainly wouldn't mind seeing more, be it about Starcraft 2 or any other game. Because really, I don't come here for reviews. I can get those on any other gaming site. I come here for the more personal touch that gets put into the website. Features like this, quick looks, the bombcast, and endurance runs exemplify that.
 
So, how about a closer look into the custom map side of things? That scene was pretty big with Blizzard's past RTS games, and I haven't heard great things about what they've done with the interface. I find it difficult to relate with what these people are talking about as an outsider who hasn't actually seen it myself, so what are your impressions?

I've loving the game so far, especially the campaign. That out-of-mission static stuff is super impressive.

Great video! This could be the start of something good. I have never played any Starcraft before but felt inclined to give this a look and it was interesting to watch. I even started to understand the game by the end of it! Should definitely do more of these in the future.

More of these would be great, love seeing your opinion on the whole thing. 
 
Sucks about your ladder though! I could never hope to be in the Silver, let alone higher than that. I'm awful and slow at SC.

Was downloading SC2 last night but over the course of DLing, my hard drive became completely full so now I have to wait another 12 hours or so until I can play it ><

Q1-How do the ranks work, you said you haven't played much of the multiplayer but your silver and i'm assuming were gold before the game crash. I usually consider gold to be like the best and then silver second, if so it sounds like you hit the highest fast
