The first Mario sequel in over 15 years to appear on the same console as its predecessor, Mario is back in the galactic platforming game, joined by Yoshi as he explores additional planets with new mechanics, power-ups, and boss battles.
Holy cow, this is one big fat rumor. NintendoLife is reporting that Ngamertweeted (a UK Nintendo Mag) that Sonic will be a playable character in Super Mario Galaxy 2. I'm not to sure if I'm really for it if this is true. I want Sonic to run super fast and not running slow. Plus I would rather play as another character instead of Sonic in this game. If he was in this game, what would you guys think about it? Awesome? Stupid?
Sounds like a terrible and bogus idea to me. We've all seen how poorly Sonic works in 3D. Super Mario Galaxy is considered to be one of the greatest games of all time... for some strange reason, because it's totally not even that good. But Nintendo wouldn't follow that up by adding lousy 3D Sonic gameplay to the mix. It's definitely not happening. Not a chance in the world.
Okay, listen Nintendo, and listen fucking good. Super Mario Galaxy is, to me, one of the top 5 games of this generation and if you think you're going to fucking ruin it, I will strike down upon you in ways that you can't even begin to imagine.

This looks shopped. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time (no rly, it'd be a good fake if it weren't for the super obvious cloning stamp to the right of Sonic's face).

Seriously though, what I would really want is for the next Mario&Luigi game to be Mario&Sonic, that would be really cool. As much as I dislike Sonic for his often crappy games and all of his stupid friends (save Tails and Knuckles), he has become about as iconic through the years as any of the Nintendo characters have been.
This would be retarded and is not happening. Sonic has to prove himself again and ditch all those retarded characters. I fucking hate Shadow, Silver, Knuckles, Amy, Big the cat. The only ones I would keep would be the Chao. so i could use my VMU.

A some people hate them, but why are they important? Why would they taint his image? Sonic doesn't have to prove anything. His friends don't have anything to prove either. Sonic Team does.
Sonic has been all but swallowed into the nintendo character library. Given the rivalry years ago, i think its kind of cool that you could play the game with either.
