The most intuitive zelda ever!
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is the sequel to Wind Waker, is the franchises first DS outing, and the most intuitive as everything is controlled single-handedly with the touch screen, you take on the role of hero Link and try to get back to your world, while trying to free your friend Tetra from an encasment of stone, and helping your fairy friend retrieve her memory.
You start of stranded on an unknown island when you start searching and find an old man in a cottage by the sea, he tells you about a fairy that is accompnying you, and gives you a sword so that you can do a certain task he asks of you.
The combat system is extremely well developed with every dash of the screen triggereng the correct move to match, and never missing a beat on what to do.
Next up is the movement, you control Link with the touch screen, by tap or dragging him to where you want to go, the further away the stylus is from him, the faster he will run. It would be expecte for this to be flawed in someway or another, but it works perfectly fine. Then there is the ship, you tell your ship were to go by setting a course on your sea chart and the ship goes there automaticly on-rails. You direct the screen whilst in your ship by dragging the camera to one side of the screen or the other, this too works fine.
The graphics are also fantastic pushing the DS to its limits. Everything around you has good textures and an obviouse personality representing it.
There is nothing bad that can be said about The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, it is a fantastic action/adventure game, probably the best on the DS, and with all the puzzles, activities and graphics, this is a must have for anyone who owns a DS. 4 STARS!
