Treasure Trove Cove is the second of the nine levels in Banjo-Kazooie and is the first level where Mumbo Jumbo is not present. Bottles teaches players how to use Shock Spring Jump pads, and gives Kazooie the ablility to fly. This level also has the first appearance of Captain Blubber the Hippo who has since appeared in every Banjo-Kazooie game aside from Banjo Pilot.
Notably this is the first level in which a Stop'N'Swop Egg can be found, located inside Sharkfood Island far from the coast of the main island. In the original N64 release it was unobtainable except through the use of cheat codes; in the Xbox Live Arcade release of the game the egg is obtainable.
The levels original name was Hammerhead Beach, but it was later changed so that it would match the alliterative style of the other levels names. Hammerhead Beach can be seen at the end of Banjo-Kazooie. A picture of the beach is also in Banjo's home.
