    Overview

Klungo is Gruntilda's currently ex-assistant of the Banjo-Kazooie series. Although his allegiance to Gruntilda is staggering, his slowness is second only to his persistence.

Originally in Banjo-Kazooie, Klungo had a very minor role and would only be seen during the Game Over sequence, manning the controls to Gruntilda's beautification machine. At the end of the game (and long into the opening of Banjo-Tooie) Klungo can be seen trying to remove the rock that Gruntilda is trapped under after she falls off her Lair's tower.

In Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Klungo is told by Grunty to contact her sisters to save her from her prison, but also to construct a metal body for her soul. Klungo creates the Mecha-Grunty body for Gruntilda.

In Banjo-Tooie, Klungo is assisted by Gruntilda's sisters in rescuing Gruntilda from her prison. After the witches use the B.O.B. cannon to kill Bottles, Klungo is the first boss that Banjo and Kazooie face in battle. He uses one of three potions during the battle: one to grow huge, one to clone himself, or one to turn invisible. The potion choice is random. He also possess the abilities to deploy a shield and throw hazardous potions at Banjo and Kazooie.

The second time that Banjo and Kazooie face Klungo is when traversing from the Pine Grove section of Isle O' Hags to the Wasteland section. Klungo will use one of the two potion choices that hasn't already been used, and will continue using the same tactics as in the first battle.

Lastly, Klungo is fought at the Cauldron Keep level before Grunty's quiz show. He will use the final potion that has yet to be used in the game.

Upon his final defeat, battered and bruised, Klungo claims that his wife will no longer find him attractive. Fed up with the constant beatings, Klungo quits being Grunty's assistant and goes off to make "ssstupid gamesss." He is later seen asleep at the after-party after eating all the food.

In Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, Klungo fulfills his dream of making games and runs a gaming emporium in Showdown Town, the player can play his game "Hero Klungo Sssavesss teh World" there. Klungo features in most of the games levels and is usually the dopey, hopeless quest giver.
