A good English Two Worlds II review
I was actually very pleased with Two worlds 2, I bought the first two worlds the day it came out played it for about 30 minutes then went and traded it in for credit at gamestop because it was so bad. But this one sucked me in from the start, it has a good looking open world, good combat system and tons of quest to do.
I'm moderately excited for Two Worlds II. I just have so many RPGs to play through still.
Hopefully the awful first game didn't fuck over any chance of this selling well.
The combat was actually pretty good in the first. Quite action based and varied, it gave you a lot more weapon types than Oblivion.
The open world environment was also huge and a lot of fun to explore. It just really suffered from a terrible story, poor dialogue and really bad animation.
Hopefully those things have been fixed this time round. But still, the first wasn't as bad as many people claim. It had a lot of flaws, but if you're into open world sandbox games and fantasy settings, then you should have been able to squeeze some enjoyment out of it. Assuming you didn't pay much.
Man, I remember playing the first one. I was playing without the gigabyte-sized patch.
No matter what I did, I could not get the main character to not look like Steve Buscemi, the FMVs didn't work, so the game ended pretty abruptly,
and I kinda broke the game when I found a freeze spell early on.
Still, it had better combat, cooler armor, and a more varied environment than that of Oblivion, which it often has been compared to.
The soundtrack wasn't bad either.

Yep, I remember having a lot of fun swapping out different armor and loot. Probably the thing that kept me going.

Oh cool! Sounds exciting!
Is this guy serious about oblivion and fallout? I mean maybe they werent top of the line stories but they were pretty damn good
What's the official word on co-op here? Is the co-op a specialized sub-game only, or can you play the main game with a friend?
I've seen some great footage and I am leaning towards a purchase just to scratch my console RPG itch, but it would be a much easier decision if it has good co-op.
" Is this guy serious about oblivion and fallout? I mean maybe they werent top of the line stories but they were pretty damn good "No they weren't. Both have good amounts of lore and backstory but the main plot in both games, particularly Oblivion, were just terrible.
The one in Two Worlds 2 is definitely better (though still not exactly great) and I like that it's presented to you in a more linear fashion, it keeps it exciting and it means they're able to present it to you in a way that makes sense, while still allowing you the freedom to explore and mess around, unlike Oblivion and such that obviously struggled with telling the story because of the open nature of the game.
