You can raise them, and lower them. Obviously it's the greatest game ever made. 

Guys I wrote a walkthrough of the game, let me copy paste it here.
 
1) Raise the blinds.
2) Lower the blinds.
3) Repeat

I don't think I'm comfortable playing such an open ended game. How do I know when I should close the blinds and when I should open them?

You know, usually I find these threads amusing... but no.

If they had gotten a chance to make a sequel I bet they would have added the ability to spin the little rod that lets you rotate the slats into an open position without actually raising the blinds.  Mind blowing!

I foresee a Desert Bus style charity marathon of Venetian Blinds cropping up, if only to warrant the 3 dollar purchase and transform it into something good. Maybe I could do it....

Not going to lie, I had a slight urge to buy this game just to show it to my friends...

It's the greatest demo I've ever seen for the Atari2600 & has a wonderful mascot in game room, I can't really consider it a game.

I was disappoint at the lack of some high-level Venetian Blinds play in that video. A ranked mode would have sealed the deal. No purchase!

I'm waiting for VB 2K11.  There's a rumor it'll have Wii motion plus and move support for not only raising and lowering the blind, but, new in '11; you'll be able to open and close them using realistic blind shaft action.

What I know is confirmed is that they're sticking with the engine.  Crysis, GTA, you name it, none had realistic blind physics.  So I think they'll be fine.
