BTW the reason you might get a STALKER vibe is because it IS by the STALKER guys. The two dudes who started 4A Games left GSC right before SSoC was released and started working on this game.

Pure awesomeness. The game looks really good. Looks like if F.E.A.R. and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. had a baby. Surprised that its not called M.E.T.R.O. 2.0.3.3.

Hope this ends up like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Also, game looks neat. Something about that settings gets to me in a really good way.

Really excited about this. I suppose how brits feel when anticipating a fable game or similar molyneux-laden experience. Great to see some sort of development culture in the former motherland :)

I'm totally down. The graphics engine features make me think I'll need a new GPU.
 
There is gonna be some open world stuff, right? Right?
 
Don't forget STALKER: Call of Pripyat comes out in English early February. Pick it up to shorten the wait.
 
edit: Then again the PEGI already gave this a rating (18). Could it be that close to release?

Stalker yeah, russian, sure.  But, it's Condemned with a machine gun i'd betcha.

I need to read the Edge Magazine feature on this, after failing to gets to grip with STALKER properly (mainly by having a naf PC, although I did have a good time on multiplayer) I wanna give this a proper go!

Makes me want to go play some S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

Pretty sweet animation.  Looks like Modern Warfare with that special bleak tone that can only come from Eastern Europe.

I never really liked post-apocalyptic settings.

Also, MrKlorox, its a linear shooter, people only thought it would be like STALKER cos it looked like it in the original trailer.

Looks like if 1C made Fallout.

I am very interested to see how this game will turn out.

While the atmosphere is similar to the stalker games Metro 2033 will be pretty linear according to the previews i have read which is because the game follows the novel closely, maybe too closely according to previews.

No I think those guys have gone crazy and think they're Nazis invading Germany and that fellow is a Russian spy. "

man the animation and graphics in general are awesome :D this is one game that looks respectful to it's source for once, it's about time we had more games that can do that. Oh and the people who were about to kill the protagonist were in fact russians, just crazy ones who believed they were nazis, just like the deluded neo-nazis of today. I really hate nazis..... and now neo-nazis are everywhere, russia and america most surprisingly :(

I read about this in the new GamePro. Seems like a really interesting game. Maybe 2010's Stalker.

Cannot wait for this and the english version of the novel. There's something really neat about Russian story telling and the post-apocalypse.

That really looks excellent. Count me in.
