Dino Storm Has You Firing Lasers On Dino Mounts

If you liked Cadillacs and Dinosaurs and Cowboys vs. Aliens; finally there is a game that brings the best of them together!  
 
Seriously though, this trailer is one of the most boring I've seen for any game in recent  memory.  The game looks slow, too.  All I see is people riding around and shooting each other.  How could dinosaurs and lasers be so bland?

Most of the time those dinosaurs don't seem to mind getting shot at.

I think people would have found this trailer more exhilarating if the shooting had some kind of impact and explosions.

Was I the only one who read the headline as Dino (Ignacio) Storm?

This looks wicked boring. They're just using dinosaurs as mounts, not thinking up anything interesting to do with them. Or putting them in environments where players could take advantage of them. Raptors don't walk calmly around everywhere, they stalk prey, hide in the shadows, use traps and strike quickly. They're the Batman of the Dinosaur World! But this is no Arkham Asylum - this is just World of Sh*tCraft with dinosaurs as mounts.

Is making a game about dinosaurs really this difficult? Dino D-Day, Disney's Turok, now this....all of them suck. Can a great, ambitious developer please make a dinosaur game? Cauldron's Jurassic: the Hunted - a budget priced Modern Warfare mod - currently stands as the best dinosaur game on the market. That's just lame.

Maybe it's the music, but this looks really lame.

How are those cowboys not shooting their own dinosaurs in the neck all the time? This makes no sense.

this may be the coolest, most retarded game ever.  also, why not just have sharks with freakin' lazer beams attached to their freakin' heads.  Oh, and, the dinosaurs don't seem to care about getting shot at.

I like Dinosaurs, I really do. I really do. I just cannot see why anyone thinks that they're good video game material. They're always going to be lame and gimmicky because no one actually puts in the effort to make them interesting. The development gets about this far and goes, "Yup, that's a dinosaur. Good work, everyone." 
 
We just need to stop supporting this shit.

Man, those lasers looked insipid because they look like they have little to no impact under any hit. A revolver that was punchy if not constant would be much cooler to use. Or like even a Bow and Arrow.

Is this some sort of trick like Dino D-Day or something? That game looked cool as hell until you played for 30 min and realise it was some bullshit

Like others have said, it does look slow paced and boring. Hoping it plays better than it looks, and that it doesn't turn into another Dino D-Day

Nothing is worse than waking up in the late afternoon to a face full of steaming dino disappointment.

Visually appealing; looks like it plays like shit though.

This looks insanely bland. How that happens in a game where you mount up on a dinosaur and shoot at things with your laser rifle is beyond me.

The dino's  move way too slow, the laser beams look pathetic, and overall just looks boring. Which is unfortunate because the basic concept of cowboys riding dinosaurs and shooting lasers sounds hilariously awesome.

Pfft. This is just a shitty knockoff of DinoLaser 19XX that I made up in a dream once.

Those are some slow ass dinos.

Yeah, it looks like they are just shooting a bunch of colored lights at eachother and waiting for someone to have a seizure

All i see are dinos turning on a dime and being generally uninterested in the laser beams. ;)

They should do a follow-up game where cave-men shoot ninjas from catapaults while flying interplanetary pirate ships, and somehow make that look utterly tedious as well.  
 
Let's just hope this is very early footage combined with a bad trailer.

Considering this game has dinosaurs, laser guns and cowboys in it, 
i must applaud them for achieving the seemingly impossible feat of making it look boring and generic.

I suppose this space western out-left-fields Firefly, by adding dino mounts.

The dino physics look quite underwhelming compared to Red Dead Redemption’s horse physics. I also agree about the mellowness. Come on, PRIMAL RAGE. Only Greg Kasavin can fix this game now.

@Vitor: That does appear to be the case. But boring combat is boring. Even if it something more akin to the MMO standards of auto-attacks and skillbars, I don't want to play it. It just looks boring, but we'll have to wait and see more, I guess.
