Trench'd.

Posted by thisguyisjoe

I'm interested, but I don't much like the title.

Posted by I_smell

lol it's the guy who does the announcer voice in Soul Calibur.

Anyway yeah, this looks fun.

Posted by SkullcrusherMountain

WHEN DOES THIS COME OUT I NEED THIS GAME OMFG.

I am so behind the downloadable avenue Double Fine is taking.  Instead of waiting 3 years for a good, but flawed game to come out, we get like, one really good game every quarter or six months.

Now this looks cool!

Posted by Einherjan

Excellent! FUCKING EXCELLENT. Now this is an XBLA game worth investing in.

 ABRAHAM LINCOLN CONFIRMED
Posted by BrianP

Can I just give doublefine my checking account number and then they can just take my money at their own leisure?

Posted by HairyToeKnuckles

And lemme guess: no voice acting and you have to speed read like JFK.

Posted by ImperiousRix

Sheesh, is how did Double Fine get on such a roll?  Now this game looks great, also!

Posted by MisterMouse

seems like a weird genre to enter into.

Posted by Korne

Looks pretty awesome, but it also sounded like they were hinting at tower defense elements. I am interested either way.

Posted by ComradeKhan

Yes. definite purchase.

Posted by Wandrecanada

Coop Mech fights against glowing alien starfish who aren't vampires?  I'm a wizard and I'd buy it.

Posted by HatKing

Man, I want to say this will be awesome but... their games always look awesome.  It's just weird mechanics and strange design choices that make me uninterested.  I'll hold my opinion until they actually tell us what exactly this game is.

I guess it's possible. I think the games are all funny and charming, but...I think they're horrifically boring games at their core, or at best derivative and nothing special. I really enjoyed the story and characters of Psychonauts overall, but I absolutely hated playing it. And I really, really love platformers. Brutal Legend is funny too, but...not very fun either. The twenty minutes or so of Stacking I played was just a mess - the character's too close to the front of the screen or something. I hate the look of it. Anyway. Opinions. I'm not trying to troll. I just don't get the crazy love people actually have for the "games" behind Double Fine.

If anyone can make this happen in a video game form, it's Tim Shafer. I don't even care if it's an outer space shark, just make it happen!

Posted by JackSukeru

Well this looks crazy. Not sure it'll be fun to play from just looking at it, but it has my attention.

Posted by borgmaster

So it's a mech/tower-defense game? Set in alternate universe WWI where aliens invade?

Sounds absurd enough to be an awesome double fine game.

Posted by Jeffk38uk

Gotta love Double Fines focus on Downloadable games simple because they always have something new and engaging. They got me with WW1 mechs against aliens to be frank.

Posted by Schnatterfleck

Cooool, can't wait!

Posted by Undeadpool

This looks fucking AWESOME. Double Fine is just KILLING it lately.

I dont get the complaints about the speed of text in DF games...

People must read really slow for it to be an issue...

Actually your stance is pretty understandable since you've explained it like that. The stories and characters are often what shine through the otherwise mediocre gameplay that inhibits most of their games.  Sorry for attacking you in such a manner, I might be retarded too after all ¯\(·_o)/¯

Yesss, customizable mech game!

Posted by IncredibleBulk92

When can I buy this?

Posted by maxB

Why would the US government wait for the army and navy to be destroyed before busting out mechs......

I don't think there has ever been a mech game I liked.

Posted by PimblyCharles

Posted by Eribuster

Is that an aircraft carrier with mech legs? YES!

Posted by Vitalogy11

Crazy a double fine Mech game and it sounds like its got an interesting online component.

Posted by tourgen

oh wow these guys seem to know what they are doing.  I want to play this!

Posted by Gerhabio

Haha, I really like the comparison of a bliyzkrieg to double fine's recent set of dl realeses. Very cool, Brad.

Posted by quirkwood

This is how you do a mech game in this era, make it small, downloadable, accessible. Then if it goes wrong and nobody likes it you haven't wasted all that money developing an in store purchase AAA title, and if it goes right you can pump money into DLC and potentially a AAA sequel.

...Me want...

Posted by EchoForge

I love the downloadable games idea, but I would love a four-pack collection on disc by the end othe year.

Posted by Helios1337

A mech game by Double Fine...I'm buying it.

Posted by Jimbo

Lincoln sighting at 46 seconds.

I still can't believe these games aren't coming out on Steam... you know, where most of Schafer's old fanbase is.  If Super Meat Boy can make more $$$ on Steam than it can on XBLA then there's no reason Double Fine's games can't do well there.

Posted by miva2

I like Double Fine and Tim Shafer as developers, but for some unknown reason i don't really like playing their games...

Posted by EoinMason
@Jimbo: Calling it right now, one of the Steam sales will bring a Double Fine pack for a stupid price.

If I'm wrong...well....I'll not use Steam again!*

*Note: Will not actually be followed through with :P

Unless my ear for voice actors is fritzing out it's Tom Kane who has done bajillondy things (most recent video game Batman: AA as Commissioner Gordon) "
Also the asylum warden, i think. And the spirit of arkham.

Ooooh looks interesting. Sort of like Chromehounds/Front Mission Evolved but not dumb.

Posted by Demoskinos

Interesting.

Posted by Roddykat

Wow, check out Double FIne! And what's the over-under on someone doing an AT-AT looking Mech?
