One thing is for certain, I really really admire the 3D artists at lionhead. This was freaking gorgeous.

A year! Compared to the amount of time it took to develop Fable 2 my guess is this is gonna be more of the same. 
...Unless they plained how there going to do Fable 3 in the development of Fable 2 but thats pretty fucked up.

I wouldn't expect a new Fable every year.  They just released a teaser trailer.  This game could be years away yet.  Most likely it will come out next year.  Hopefully that will be the last one for this generation.  I think two entries in a series per generation is good.  You get one to bring the series up to current tech and a second to refine before moving on.  Any more than that is overkill unless you're planning on doing a trilogy and then setting it aside, like Mass Effect.

Honestly, I was hoping for something new from Lionhead.

Played Fable 2, cool enough concept, but plot and fighting mechanics just weren't deep enough for my taste.

I loved Fable II. Despite all the naysayers, I thought it had one of the most delightfully immersive atmospheres in any game I've ever played. Sure, the combat was simplistic and the choices were of the generic save-the-kitten-or-kill-the-kitten skews, but despite all of that, the game was simply a joy to play and take part in. 
 
The premise here sounds good, and I can only hope that they'll expand on the wonderful atmosphere, and develop some more complex gameplay mechanics to go along with it.

loved Fable 1 and Fable 2, for everyone who is complaining guys its been 2 games Fable will never be another Oblivion get over it! Its always gonna be a 12 hour linear storyline with 6-8 hours of side stuff with pretty good replay value that's it don't expect anything more from Fable 3.

I adored Fable 2, the sooner Fable 3 comes along the better.

Still, a little shocked, but totally ready for it, i suspect this will be extremely similar, kinda like what you usually see with fast sequels.

This better come out on PC...

So the first Fable was medieval. The second was set in an enlightenment era fantasy world. Shouldn't this one, by extension, be set in modernity?

I hope they add in a couple of more things into this game. I love the fable games but there is not much to keep you going after finishing the main quest. I mean, there's plenty to do but I've finished all the side quests, gotten the best weapons, bought every single house in the ENTIRE GAME, and did most everything else but now there is no real reason to go back to it.
 
I'd like more things like the ninja map pieces, where if you get all the pieces then it opens up a quest and the pieces fall randomly. And more stuff with your family: clothing options and maybe a chance that they'd fight along your side?
