Nice nod to gears of war with the Bulky, LED laced, Helmet less suits.
 
 lets just hope the actual gameplay and ingame graphics measure up, because Im really, really tired of Halo2 geometry in 60 dollar games.

The trailer wasn't wowing me in particular, but I have faith in Bungie.

From what I understood of the lore/canon MC was the last spartan, so this would mean it would be BEFORE Halo 1?

Something about releasing a prequel game after a long running series can only go one of two ways.  
 

1. Awesome new game mechanics makes fans say "WTF! This is in the past, why didn't MC get this gun?"  and resent the new stuff.
   
2. Shitty nothing changed and boring story makes fans say: "Wow, the passed sucked why did I buy this?"
   

I am a big halo and Xbox fan, but even I thought that this trailer was meh.

For some reason, the impression I got was its a sequel to ODST.  I know that's not what it is, but I couldn't shake the feeling I was looking at ODST 2.  /shrug
 
Visually it looks fine, looks to have some squad elements.  Ill probably check it out, but its nothing to get bent out of shape over, IMO.

well, i actually love this teaser, but until i can see some new stuff in the halo series, i won't hold my breath for this one.

Kind of like the direction they're going with the inclusion of more SPARTANs; makes it seem like a more mature version of Power Rangers. And I loved Power Rangers.

They should've gone with the nudity with marilyn manson cranking in the background aproach, i hear that's popular nowadays.
 
Now i like halo and I like how the graphics are shaping up for this but seriously, that was a bit of a snoozer trailer.

Trailer sucked. Hopefully it will be better than: Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo: ODST, Halo Wars, Halo Cart racing, Halo Cart racing 2, Halo party, Halo RPG, Halo bros, Super Halo Bros, Halopoly, Halo the Movie the book the game, Master Chief cooking adventures, Halo Cooking, Master Chief and Marcus Fenix at the Olympic games, New Halo bros, Old Halo bros, etc....
 
I think I missed about 40 more games. Too many to list.

Does anyone actually know that this is a prequel? I mean, it's a direct prequel to Halo 1. If anything, I would expect the awesome gun play that game had. But, let's not say anything yet, so I don't get proven wrong and the last bit of faith I had in Halo gets demolished.

I just can't get excited about Halo games.  They always seem to pale in comparison to every other FPS on the market.  Also, this trailer is snoozeball.

if its heavy single player/story based then i will be looking forward to it, if its main thing is mulitplayer then i'll pass.

Did I miss something?  I saw no in game footage.  Only cut scene stuff.  Sure, it was nice, but I wanna see the in game!

Not much new is being shown here.  I thought the Elite at the end was a bit silly.  We've killed millions of him by now; why is that exciting?
