Rockstar Games Presents L.A. Noire

Urh... Rubbery looking faces are a bit odd, nice lip-sync/expressions though .
Also im kinda worried that Mafia 2 mighta killed my natural desire to play another mobster game..

Jesus, almost the entire cast are actual actors as well as voicing their characters, this jumped way up on my anticipation radar

rockstar has done the old west, the 50s west and the 90s west coast. What's next I ask?

Rockstar should start making feature films.

Just came here to say how much that looked like Ken Cosgrove from Mad Men and see I was beaten to the punch several times over, he's a good choice, dunno if it's just because Mad Men, but he has a great look for these mid-century period roles. 
 
Looks very impressive, Rockstar certainly have their formula but they pull it off so well that I can't complain. RDR is still one of my favourite games this year thanks in part to the character of the setting and the story. This looks to have both of those things. Consider me interested Rockstar!

I am a little weirded out by the presence of Ken Cosgrove. Maybe Don will make a cameo.

Could there possibly be more big games coming out in spring 2011? Spread it out over the year a little bit developers!

Shame for all that lip syncing the way the hair connects to the guys head looks like someone rubbed vasaline on a blurry picture of someone from FIFA 2001.

The faces and lip syncing in this trailer are amazing. The eyes were pretty realistic for the most part, some of the characters had a sort of glazed look in the eyes, though. Story looks cool and love the feel of it already. I would say I can't wait, but in reality I have so many games to catch up on right now. I'm looking forward to this game for sure.

I don't know anything about the game, and I'm not sure if it appeals to me at all, but that lip syncing is incredible. I haven't been this jazzed about that since Deus Ex (which also touted realistic lip syncing for the first  time in its day, but nothing on this level). 
 
That's what I like to see, innovation. Bravo Rockstar!

The faces are way deep in the uncanny valley, but the lip-synching is the best I've ever seen.

...innovation at it's finest perhaps? lip syncing like this is for feature films, the VO is just amazing in this trailer and it looks interesting...since GTA4 they have really found a way to make their games seem like playable movies, and I have NOT been disappointed yet...this looks epic.

I hope this is less mass-murdery than normal. Noire genre needs more subtle gameplay than gta and rdr. They managed it with Bully though, so I'm optimistic.

Game Informer had a great story on this game a few or so months back. Basically about how they did the modeling. etc. Was a great read.

Man, he is super pissed about losing the Lucky Strikes contract.

I had not heard much or read a lot about the game up until seeing this trailer.  I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Want to play this sooo much.

that guy who says "thats not true goddamnit" sounds like, Brucie or some guy from GTA IV.
but boy are those animations amazing, those expressions feels quite real and goes really well with the voice

Wow, that is the most realistic facial animation and lip syncing I have EVER seen.

That's the first time in a long while I've gone "wow" in regards to a game on the horizon. Parts of that genuinely look like they should be on next gen or a nvidias latest gfx card demo. Enslaved showed me how importantant digital perfomances are to me in games going forward and from this trailer LA Noir looks like it's gone to another level.

I think 'Quantic Dream' just got their asses handed to them. Also I don't care if I have a PS3 or not-I WANT THIS GAME FOR THE PC DAMMNIT!
