The Saboteur's GamesCom Gameplay Trailer

This game just can't hold my attention at all. Not my style.

I'm sure this will have some of the issues from Mercs 2 fixed.  I like a lot about this game so far, and I liked Mercs 2 despite it being so janky, so I'm looking forward to purchasing this.

Not nearly as strong as the other trailers... the music here just doesn't work.

Graphics look extremely dated, gameplay tries to do too many things at once, and will end up failing the lot, can't say much more judging on this trailer but... No offense guys... but I hold my expectations nice and low.

I'm very interested in the game, and I love the song on its own - but the trailer just doesn't work. It keeps interrupting this very fast song to insert snippets of cutscenes and firefights and then comes back to the song - it's poorly done. I really don't think this trailer helps the game...

Awesome Trailer, looks fun and a hell of alot better than Mercs 2

I can only think of two Irish protagonists in videogame history. Patrick Galloway (with a unconvincing Irish accent) and this guy. Anymore?

What kind of Irish accent is that? We dont sound like that at all. And who the hell would say top of the morning to ya?

Pandemic is hit and miss, will this one hit?

Neat trailer. Close ups on people looks pretty meh, but the general environment and explosions look great, I think. I actually liked the music to this one (though I think better background music would have been the song from right before the shootout scene in The Departed)

Cannot wait to play this...

damn i don't have money to buy all this...

looking better than previous videos (boy was it way too chaotic, bad framerate, and way too mercs 2). indoor scenarios seem to be looking good, yet i'm still afraid the movement will be awkward like mercs 2, and yeah as someone said pandemic is hit and miss, and this looks sort of in the middle

To me, this game still looks awesome. It's still in my top two games I want this year.

Jeez, they have blood and nudity and foul language, but they're too afraid of putting Swastika's on the Nazi's armbands? If anything the Iron Cross's make them less Nazish because it's more of a national symbol than a Nazi symbol. It was around since before Prussia united the nation. Are they doing it to try and avoid the game being banned in Germany?

I'm surprised by how stiff the animation looks. I don't know if it's the abundance of amazing games I've watched trailers for today or what, but this is looking a lot less pretty than I recall it being the first few times I've seen it over the last year or so. Seriously, Uncharted could spare half it's frames of animation and it would still probably look better than this. It's sad, leading up to now, Pandemic's done such a great job promoting this game and making it look awesome. Instead it looks like we're being given a bunch of flat, stiff, stereotyped characters.

This new video took away much of the excitement I had. I don't know, but with the E3 gameplay, it looked a more 'cool' game, one with its own pace, of slow intaking. Now it seems you're just an irish stereotype that wants to blow stuff up.

I think it's a really good trailer.  I think the rock irish folk music is perfect against the mayhem.  But what is with the main character's accent?  It is unbearable!  Also, I have to agree that I'm not that impressed by the graphics.  If the gameplay is sound, I might be able to overlook that fact.  Worse still, I can't say this game has been very high on my radar.

I was half expecting Dick Van Dyke to appear alongside the protagonist and do his 'Mary Poppins' English accent, utterly terrible job. Where'd they get the reference from? Terry Wogan? I fully predict this game to turn out as another Velvet Assassin type disasterpiece.

This looks pretty stylish. I like it.

Seems like Mercs 2, i.e. fun.
I wasn't really interested in this until this video; I hope a demo comes out. Looks fun.

Horrible music, horrible voice acting. Ugh, and this was a game I was really looking forward to. It could still be fun, but it's not longer a must buy. It's now just a must try.

A army of Nazis is no match against a angry drunken Irish man! I am surprised this game wasn't delayed till next year, so that's good.

Let's hope it turns out better than Mercenaries 2!

Why on earth can't American studios ever get British Isles accents right? It's not that hard to hire an actual Irishman. You know, from Ireland. Pretty sure they have recording studios there too. Lazy. 
It appears motion capture isn't on their list either. If that's the case, hire some animators who can make the movements look vaguely lifelike. Lazy again.

God his accent is terrible. Know he's played by an actual Irishman only makes it worse. No Irish person does or has ever sounded like an Anglo-Scottish leprechaun with a speech impediment

Ahaha, if he speaks in Irish cliches through the entire game I am definitely buying this.
 
The soundtrack should just be 'The Body of an American' on a loop.
 
Edit:  Yeah that armband thing is bullshit, you'd think replacing it with the Iron Cross (which is still used) would be considered even more insulting.  My guess is that your character ends up wearing the enemy uniform and maybe that's the real issue - the pc wearing a swastika would be a PR disaster in Germany.
