Yeah I take it back. 150 for just the device is too much. and I didn't realize the games cost 60, that is too much as well. Hopefully there will be a game bundle with Kinect and the system.

This is the pricing scheme that was SPECULATED on last week by some dude in a suit in new york. Like the guys said last night, MS is probably going to wait to see how much the whole PS Move thing will cost and what they can do to undercut that. With the Kinect, you dont need extra controllers for more people so the price will be higher than a PS move controller. BUt a peripheral at $150? I highly doubt that. It gets me thinking Sega CD and Sega 32x. And people please, dont rush to Gamestop for pricing, you know they just go off what they heard so that they have something to charge so they can get preorders for that shit started. Hopefully Microsoft will notice how everyone thinks $150 is way too much for an add-on most people need to be convinced to even think of buying. Maybe I'll be a sucker and get a new 360 with the kinect bundled in, probably not though.
Ok. I can understand the WiFi accessories because it wasn't expected to sell to everyone. But God damn. They expect this device to be in everyones living room. How do they expect to sell at that price? The games too. I thought they were just downloadable games for $20. Well, except for Ubisoft and Harmonix's game. They look like they have a lot of potential. The other ones, not so much.
I still can't figure out who this thing is even for. Typical gamers won't give a shit and for these prices probably won't give it a chance. The target audience has a wii already and isn't likely to own another system with $150 ready to drop on crap.
So it'll probably be 150 with some Kinect game, Sports or what have you. And I really can't see them charging 60 bucks for Kinectimals, so expect that to be 30-40 bucks.
But really, in the end, it's worth 150 bucks for me because of Child of Eden.
I thought this price was already out there? Not really surprising, the actual tech in Kinect is pretty meaty stuff, even if the software leaves something to be desired.
