Maybe i am not as far as you to see these bugs but after a good 9+ hours i finally ran into 2 glitches, one i ran into multiple times but it's such a hilarious glitch i actually enjoy it, its in vat mode or whatever and when i shoot someone and kill them they slam on the ground then fly in the air, i could watch that all day.
the 2nd glitch happened twice and it was quite annoying, i would enter the vats or whatever and i wouldn't shoot.. it would just sit there for 10 seconds then i couldn't fire my gun till i did a quick switch out and back.
other then that i have found no other glitches/bugs and nothing that breaks the games

Fallout: New Vegas Patches Are Coming
I suppose I could wait to buy this until Bethesda or Obsidian release a patch for this bad boy.
But in all honesty, why is it so hard for Obsidian to release a game that isn't chalk full of glitches and bugs!?
Knights of the Old Republic II, Neverwinter Nights 2, Alpha Protocol... all great (nay) outstanding games with tremendous flaws holding them back from being 5-star titles, in my opinion.
" I suppose I could wait to buy this until Bethesda or Obsidian release a patch for this bad boy. But in all honesty, why is it so hard for Obsidian to release a game that isn't chalk full of glitches and bugs!? "This game wasn't really their fault, most of these bugs were in Fallout 3 at Launch too and Oblivion still has some of them too.
These bugs are to do with the god awful engine that Bethesda uses, that Bethesda apparently didn't send the memo over to Obsidian on how to fix them.
Good news, guys! If you want more "wacky" bugs and unfinished games, all you gotta do is keep buying 'em!
As the guy who posted the Exorcist Doc Mitchell vid (and that is indeed the terrific Michael Hogan), I want to reiterate that I'm seriously digging New Vegas and that, after disabling my anisotropic filtering, my problems mostly vanished. I'm not saying there's a causal link between them, but if anybody else is having the same problems (broken animation, spinning heads), aniso is a place to start.
Quick saves are still tripping me out, and the game forgets my mouse sensitivity every time I back out, but I'm otherwise rocking and rolling. And though I doubt this will silence the people who insist that I pirated the game, here's my Steam page:

I should do a vid of mine, when I play the opening sequence at the end where you get shot always bugs out and the entire screen save the top corner or so freezes or goes black and I can only see the one dudes head....
Meanwhile my Cheyenne (the dog) didn't moon walk. But his eyes did phase outside of his head and float around in mid air in front of him.
I will be getting this game, but only when the bugs have been ironed out, and when its a bit cheaper.
Bugs or not, this game is KICKASS.
About 5 hours into it on the PC, I've had it crash twice on me. Past experience with Bethesda games have taught me to become good friends with the F5 key, so I'm not too annoyed. Load times on the PC are quick, so it's only 15-20 seconds between a crash and being back in the game. Also, game looks and runs great for me at 1920x1080 maxed Ultra High. I know a lot of people are having problems with framerate drops, hopefully they'll have that cleared up in a patch, I'm personally not experiencing it, but I have a couple of friends who are.
I know I shouldn't support buggy software out of the box, but with Fallout, I'm weak as hell and must play. We also had similar issues with Red Dead Redemption when it came out, minus the random crashes, I think the issues are just inherent to these older open world engines, and the code causing the problems is so deep down, no one is bothering to correct it.
I think it's funny console gamers are all up in arms though, I guess the days of the , "It's hard to troubleshoot all hardware configurations on the PC" excuse are over, since apparently they can't get it right with a single configuration either.
The "Excorcist" glitch is really freaky and creepy. It did make me laugh but really its not funny that this game has so many bugs.
I'm in the UK so my 360 copy will be with me on Friday, I'm really excited about the game, I just hope it runs well enough to play without me losing my temper.
" Good news, guys! If you want more "wacky" bugs and unfinished games, all you gotta do is keep buying 'em! "Unfortunately I probably will as a large chunk of my favourite games tend to be buggy.
The GTAs, Red Dead, Fallout all buggy as hell, but all at the top of my favourites list.
I hope they work on patches for the framerate drops and the game freezes. All of the other stuff I could live with, as evidenced by the numerous bugs in Red Dead Redemption. If they do a good job with these patches, this game would be twice as good as Fallout 3. So I'm very hopeful.
That dog isn't glitched, it's just gifted with mad skills........Jesus Christ, that NPC is freaking me out man.
Only problem I've faced is my level 3 perks haven't come up. Which, yea, is a big problem. Still loving it though.
" The rotating head is the best bug in a long time, only surpassed by, well, every single bug in "Red Dead Redemption" but especially the Donkey Lady...or maybe Cougar Man... or the talking dog...heck, they're all amazing!!!!:-) "Hawk Man is my favorite. But I can't deny that the moonwalking dog has some charm, at least until the Jackson Estate makes them replace it with "Jive Dog."
I wouldn't really say the dog is moonwalking since it is actually using a backward walking animation as it moves backward. It's just obviously supposed to be facing where it's walking (with a forward walk animation).
Moonwalking would be if the dog were moving backwards with a forward walking animation.
is it wrong of me to have audibly gasped about the exorcist head bug? If that had happened when you tripped out on those bad mushrooms in fallout 3's dlc i would have died.
I will definitely wait a few months to get the game. I just got the GOTY edition of F3 and it freezes a lot. It is a GOTY edition and they still can't fix the bugs? Really? Now that many people are saying this new game is also flooded with the same dang bugs, no way I'll be getting it soon. I love Fallout but come on... what a disrespect to their customers.
