Samara: Good character for ME2, but I'm not really interested in finding out more about her.
Grunt: This one is iffy, but I'd rather just have Wrex back.  
Ashley: (I should have chosen her, instead of Kaiden in ME1 to blow up the bomb)

Samara.
Didn't like her one bit. She had freaky eyes. Also, was she was some sort of Asari space samurai/paladin/monk? Justicars brought the universe of Mass Effect too close to fantasy and mysticism for my tastes - not that that stuff couldn't fit (the enkindlers, Thane's drell/assassin philosophy etc).
Her dress was a bit over the top too. More so than Miranda's. Yeah thats right, MORE than Miranda's.

Thane should be gone. Both of the DLC characters probably don't need to return, though I feel as though if they folded Kasumi more into the story she could be interesting. And I'd like the ability to make a choice between Grunt and Wrex. I admittedly like both, and having to choose would kill me. So that should be a thing.
 
I think all the humans minus Miranda can safely leave, too. Miranda's great, and essentially signed on board full term at the end of ME2, so she better be there. Though I wouldn't mind offloading the entire rest of the Cerberus crew. Oh, and even less Joker, please. Ugh.

If you are allowed to bang Samara in ME3 then I will allow her back. 
 
....what if they allowed you to have some sort of weird human-alien orgy thing with Shepard (male OR female), Liara, Ashley, Tali, Miranda, Samara, Jack, Kasumi, and Kelly. Damn I just blew my own mind.

I don't want Miranda to return. I really don't like her. 

Who hires and pays a voice actor, whose character died in ME2 and therefore doesn't have a single line in ME3? Who writes hundreds of lines of dialog that will never be heard? No one, of course.
 
Therefore none of them will return. It would be far too complicated to pull this of, given the different outcomes of ME2. Many people are going to be bummed out, I guarantee it. Dead people are going to be suddenly alive again and former survivors reduced to throw-away lines or minor cameos, I don't see it work any other way.

Jack - Wannabe badass
Jacob - Soo boring

Ashley is a given to be ejected out an airlock
Jacob is painfully dull
and Samara was pretty creepy
 
That said i really want Tali back as well as more Joker stuff and Legion, as he was just such a surprise i want to see more of him

Thane, because hes dieing and I like to stick to the story. 
 
Kasumi, because there is little to no reason for her to stick around Shepard.
 
On a side note I actually enjoyed Zaeed, I wish he would've been an actual character in the game instead of just some Add-on. I doubt he'll be a part of the team in ME3 though.

All the party members that are humans, in both ME1 and ME2.

Mordin is the only character I liked a lot and he died in the final mission. Im not going to reload for a better diceroll. 
Also, I did like 5 more missions after most of my crew was taken. So they're pretty fucking useless, seems like.

Jack unless she stops being an enormous bitch. Kaiden and Ashley also got on my nerves, so they can go too. 

Mordin... just GTFO

So long as Garrus, Tali, Mordin, and Legion return, I don't really care. I was either indifferent towards the other characters (like Jacob), or outright hated them (Jack).  
 
And I'd like Ashley to come back from the dead, just so I could kill her off again. Okay, not really, but still.

I'd be perfectly fine if Grunt didn't return, but I absolutely hated Jack and Samara and would absolutely love it if they didn't return. 

Its almost like they purposely wrote half the cast as unnappealing so you wouldn't mind when Garrus and Tali and Thane are the only dudes who come back.

Jacob was alright. Mordin was awesome, I want him back. Miranda...didn't care for her much. Samara was the same. Kaidan can suck it. Jack was pretty cool, wouldn't mind seeing her again, as was Grunt (though Wrex was way better). Kasumi is cool, she should at least get a cameo or something, same with Thane.
 
But really, all I want are Archangel and Tali.
