A servant of Philemon, Igor is a recurring character in the Persona series, assisting the player by helping them summon new Personae. He inhabits a realm known as the Velvet Room.
The main protagonist of the Persona 4 franchise. As the leader of the Investigation Team, Yu Narukami becomes deeply involved in the serial murder cases in the Inaba region shortly after arriving in town to live with his uncle. Unlike the other members of his team, he does not have a "Shadow" self, can summon and fuse numerous Personas, and has exclusive access to the Velvet Room. He is portrayed by Johnny Yong Bosch in the English dub.
Izanagi is the father of creation in Japanese mythology. He was forced to mourn the death of his wife Izanami, but was famously unwilling to accept it.
A famous detective with self-image issues, Naoto uses a revolver in battle and wields the Persona Sukuna Hikona of the Fortune Arcana, with specialization in Almighty, Light, and Dark type skills.
Akihiko's childhood friend and a fellow Persona-user. Shinjrio's Persona is Castor of the Hierophant Arcana.
Junpei is a comic relief character from Persona 3 and its remakes. His Personae specialize mostly in strong physical attacks and weak fire magic.
Rise is a main character of the Persona 4 franchise. A former pop idol who retired for unknown reasons, she serves as a support character, informing the party of enemy data, as well as protecting them from harm and providing stat boosts. As the deuteragonist of Persona 4: Dancing All Night, she serves as the leader of the underclassmen division after the Investigation Team splits up to rescue the Kanamin Kitchen girls. Her initial Persona is Himiko of The Lovers Arcana.
A juvenile delinquent who has extensive experience with street fighting. Despite his tough exterior, Kanji possesses a much softer side.
Chie is one of the first characters to join the player's party in Persona 4. A huge fan of martial arts and meat, Chie is the upbeat, cheerful, and energetic tomboy of the group. She does, however, have an occasionally short temper, especially with Yosuke Hanamura. Her initial Persona is Tomoe Gozen of the Chariot Arcana.
Reaper is one of the optional bosses in modern Persona games.
Ken Amada is the youngest human member of SEES. His mother was killed before his eyes years prior to the events of Persona 3.
Aigis is a major supporting character of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 and main character of Persona 3 FES's "The Answer." She is an anti-Shadow android created by the Kirijo Group.
A new female character and Social Link that appears in Persona 4: Golden. She is a young soul of the Velvet Room that handles Skill Cards and is sometimes met in the real world.
Mitsuru is the president of the Gekkoukan High School Student Council. She is also the daughter of the head of the Kirijo Group, as well as the corporation's heir. She is the student leader of SEES at the beginning of Persona 3.
Lavenza is the attendant in The Velvet Room in Persona 5. Until late in the game, she appears as two separate twin sisters, Caroline and Justine.
A mysterious bear who resides in the world of the Midnight Channel. He is searching for who/what he is. His initial persona is Kintoki-Douji.
A party member in Persona 3 who attends Gekkoukan High School. The captain of the school's boxing team, he outwardly appears calm and collected, but on the inside he is full of passion and ambition.
Clumsy boy and comic relief character who sports reddish-brown hair and wears red headphones around his neck. Uses dual knives or kunai in battle and his initial persona is Jiraiya of the Magician Arcana which uses Wind, Heal and Stat Buff magic.
One of the female protagonists from Persona 3. Yukari is armed with bow and arrows, and her Personae, Io (and later Isis) of the Lover's Arcana specialize in healing and wind magic.
Persona user in SEES who, instead of wielding battle abilities, holds the power to analyze enemies for level and weak points. She eventually replaces Mitsuru as tactical support for SEES members.
The protagonist of Persona 3 possesses the "Wild Card" ability, allowing him to summon and control multiple Personas. In the Persona 3 movie and subsequent spin-offs, his name is Makoto Yuki.
Jack Frost is a playful demon who can be seen filling all kinds of roles in the Shin Megami Tensei franchise and is also the de facto mascot for Atlus, hee ho!
The angel that sounds the trumpets to mark the apocalypse. Each new trumpet sound will bring a different event or plague.
The silent protagonist of Persona 5. As the leader of The Phantom Thieves of Hearts ("Joker"), he and his friends "steal" the hearts of crooked individuals in the Metaverse to change them in the real world.
She resides with Igor in the Velvet Room in Persona 3, where she manages the player's Persona Compendium, as well as giving the player special requests to be rewarded with items. She is also an optional super-boss in the game.

Originates from Celtic folklore. Appears as a demon in the Shin Megami Tensei games.
A syncretic manifestation of the three Norns, or fates, in Norse mythology. Named Urd, Verdandi, and Skuld, they are comparable to the Moirae sisters in Greek myth.
