Welcome, to my CollectSHUN! *Cough* I mean collection. I've tried to put this in order of when I first played the games, and I've added commentary for just about everything. This was a big job, and no one will probably read it. Oh, well.

List items

  • I'd never played a Kirby game before, but this looked adorable and fun. And indeed, it is. I just get super frustrated any time I lose beads.

  • Just assumed this was a GTA-type game until I saw the Quick Look. Examining the dead bodies made me quite ill, but luckily, I loved everything else about this game. Hoping to go back and platinum at some point.

  • Got this as part of the Welcome Back program. I ended up enjoying it a lot, and I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

  • Got it for free from the Welcome Back program.

  • I've been told this game is better than Final Fantasy. Another part of my quest to play some older RPGs that I missed.

  • I absolutely love Skyrim. I went into Oblivion completely unsure if I'd enjoy this type of game. Just after I finished it, Skyrim was released, and I went in full of excitement for what I hoped would be an even better game. Skyrim delivered. After over four years and nearly 242 hours of playing, I finally finished the main storyline and just about every side quest I was interested in. I saved the game with a screen of my family all together. I think there's a chance I might want to go visit them again one day (and maybe even run around a bit). But for now, I finally feel done with Skyrim. And that makes me both happy and sad.

  • Bastion has a lot of really interesting elements, and I enjoyed playing it. But I don't think I quite "get" the game on the same level that others do.

  • Playing online was so much fun! Glad they finally added that in.

  • The first game I enjoyed on a tablet. I now have it on my Vita, and I completed the trophy list!

  • Started this some time ago, yet not long enough ago to have been playing it on my Super Nintendo. Bought the DS version, so I could enjoy playing as well as watching the Endurance Run.

  • A quirky, enjoyable game so far.

  • I'm not sure I would have asked for a continuation of the FFXIII story, but I certainly didn't mind it. I actually liked Serah and Noel. The monster collecting theme isn't my favorite, and while the somewhat non-linear path was cool, I found myself getting confused every time I came back to play more. But I did enjoy the game, for what it's worth.

  • A whip in the court room? Wow, this game was even crazier than the first.

  • I'm glad I waited to get this game. The camera is really, really bad. But I'm a big Disney fan, and I was able to find some enjoyment in this game. Not sure I could recommend it, though.

  • The story was interesting, but after frustration and more frustration, I've pretty much given up on a quick-time event near the end. Depressing.

  • Wonderful game, but I ran into a stopping point near the end where I didn't have enough stars to get through. Maybe I'll go back to it at some point.

  • So, the 3D in this game makes me sick. Still, this is a fun game. I've made it through both sets of worlds.

  • I really like this game. It's just too bad that it's not easier to get into a game with a friend. Please, Nintendo, learn how to do online stuff. I love you, but that's something you still really need to work on.

  • Coins! I think that's all there is to be said.

  • Playing only as herbivores, because I'm weird like that.

  • There are a few really fun mini-games in here. Probably more if you have other people to play with you. I wouldn't have bought it separately, but I would have missed out on a couple of really cool games, so I'm glad it came with my Wii U.

  • Fantastic! I love the Miiverse addition, though the alerts get a bit annoying after a while. Other than that and some minor 'not enough Yoshi for a game, that looks like Super Mario World' issues, I enjoyed it thoroughly!

  • Pretty cool so far. It been a while since I played a classic adventure game. Need to get back to this soon.

  • I always thought the first game looked interesting, so after seeing the Quick Look and good review of this one, I decided to buy it. It can be little bloody for me, but I'm enjoying the game so far.

  • Just gorgeous. With how much I loved Flower, I can't believe I waited so long to play this. If you have about 2 hours, just play all the way through. You'll be thankful for the experience.

  • My introduction to the world of Katamari. Pixel recommended to play this one. ^_^

  • After a long time of hearing about this game, I finally gave it a try. I didn't necessarily love the weird art style, but the game was worth giving a shot.

  • Really enjoying this. Most I've been into a Tales game in a long time. I love all the systems going on in the game, I love the characters, and I'm excited to play more.

  • I was so excited to play this, then my PS3 died right before it came out. It kind of spoiled my excitement for a while. But once I got into it, I was completely hooked again. Ah, memories.

  • I got it for PS3 with Plus. I've always loved virtual pinball.

  • I got it for PS3 with Plus. This game is hard. But somehow, I was addicted to it for a few days there. I'll probably never beat it.

  • I got it for PS3 with Plus. I've always loved kart games. This one is fun, but I like regular LBP much better.

  • I got it for PS3 with Plus. Really cute and odd art style.

  • Got this when it first came out, but I've only gotten a little ways into it. I'm playing Ico for the first time. The puzzles are not fun. Well, I don't like puzzles, so... that's not saying much. But I'm not enjoying Shadow of the Colossus as much as I remembered either. I appreciate that these games are artsy, but I don't know. I don't like playing them much.

  • Always loved the music for this game. Finally getting a chance to play it.

  • I found Beyond to be a beautiful story that really made me think. I usually have a clear path in games with choices because I know myself very well, but I actually had to deliberate over a few of my choices in this game. There were some technical imperfections in Beyond, but I was able to enjoy playing it in a way I wasn't able to in some other games focusing on story over gameplay. I'm sure this game isn't for everyone, but it was definitely for me.

  • Loved this game. The music just builds the mood so well. Uh, pardon the pun?

  • The quick pace of this game made me nervous, but I enjoyed it.

  • So cute! I like playing this while listening to podcasts every once in a while.

  • Totally in love with Super Mario 3D World! Like, seriously. I was hearing great things from reviewers, but it really is amazing! And I had been sold when I only heard Kitty Peach.

  • I'm not happy that the RPG elements were basically stripped out, but it still seems pretty cool so far. Man, that flip timer has got to go, though. Also the backtracking to find pillars is sort of annoying.

  • Seemed cute and Persona-like from the Quick Look. Hopefully, I'll enjoy it.

  • I was absolutely enchanted by this game. I just wish they didn't show my face so much. ~///~;

  • I love this series, and this game is no exception. The touch sections never seem to work exactly right, though, which slows things down. But overall, still really fun to play.

  • This game is amazing! At first, I was a bit bitter about the changes to systems that were made because I had to struggle through the original versions on the PS2. But I grew to embrace and enjoy how much of an improvement most of the changes were. (Also, they changed Chie's voice. Grr. But I got used to it eventually.) I'm already looking forward to starting a New Game Plus to see some of the little things I've missed.

  • Played through the remastered version. As usual, had to look up help for some of the puzzles. But at least I figured out the criminal well before Nancy did. That's really what I like about these games.

  • It's not Persona 4, but I am definitely enjoying playing through this game. I like the characters. I like the way the story is progressing. I just don't like how the dungeon is set up.

  • More great excuses to replay older games I really enjoyed. Sure, I should probably be finishing all the other Tales games I have, but... Tales of Symphonia was pretty amazing.

  • Maybe they'll never quite capture the charm of the first game, but I love Yoshi and will play any game with him in it. Except Yoshi's Cookie.

  • I am so excited to be playing this. It's been a long time since I played through these games. Having an excuse to come back to them is awesome.

  • I occasionally like slightly creepy games. The things I can't handle are gore or extensive amounts of blood. This game has avoided that so far. (However, one of the execution scenes was a bit triggery for me.) But I feel like the (admittedly sparse) gameplay sort of serves no purpose and distracted me from the story. I just wanted to see what happens next, not to have to replay text over and over again to "shoot" one of the phrases at the right time. Still, I enjoyed the story of the game enough to see it through.

  • Kind of addicting. Completed the trophy list!

  • This game has such a great style. I got a bit tired of the puzzles eventually, but I'd recommend it easily.

  • This game is gorgeous and so much fun. One of my favorites in the series.

  • Free from PS Plus. Kind of fun. Slightly annoying. Seems the case for most Mickey games, in my experience.

  • Free from PS Plus. I enjoy parts of this, but it's just a little too loud and in-your-face for my taste.

  • Finally giving this series a shot. This first game was really enjoyable. I'm looking forward to playing the rest.

  • I'd been meaning to play this series forever, so I purchased this game on the Wii U. I think they throw way too many commands and options into the wandering/puzzle sections, but I do like the RPG elements quite a bit. Unfortunately, I've gotten a bit lost, and I'm just moving onto the next in the series.

  • Got this game free from some promotion. Not terrible so far.

  • Have this for my 3DS.

  • Have this for my 3DS.

  • I think I actually like the first one better, but this continues Nathan Drake's journey quite nicely. Beautiful locations and amazing adventures. I'm so glad I started playing these games.

  • This is kind of a fun little game. I saw it for really cheap, so I thought... why not?

  • This game is... okay. The controls are pretty awkward. Actually, everything about this game is kind of awkward. But I'm trying to give it a chance.

  • I was even more excited to play these games again than the first HD collection.

  • I rented this ages ago, and I remember really enjoying the beginning of the game. Either I've forgotten some important parts of how to play, or the difficulty has ramped up in a way that makes me unhappy, but I feel sort of done with it now. Which makes me sad.

  • Free from PS Plus. Always heard good things about the original, but I have no nostalgia associated with the game, and that seems to be key in your level of enjoyment.

  • I never get over how cute these games are. Unfortunately, this game has some major glitches that have turned me away from it.

  • I had a lot of frustration with some of the puzzles in this game, but I really enjoyed the story. This game has an interesting style that I really appreciated.

  • Bought this quite a while ago with a bunch of other original Xbox games. I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying it so far. It's pretty for such an old game, and I don't know. I just like it.

  • Not bad so far.

  • Free from PSPlus. Loved the concept. I found the platforming a little irritating at times, but I mostly enjoyed it.

  • Free from PSPlus. Cool atmosphere, but deaths are a little too gruesome for my taste.

  • Tearaway was a beautiful game, and I'm totally up for revisiting it. Already charmed by the new beginning.

  • Just at the start of this. I enjoyed the first game quite a bit, so I'm hoping I'll enjoy this one as well.

  • Is it creepy that I have a crush on young Nathan Drake? Yeah, probably. Anyhow, I'm maybe getting a little tired of the Uncharted formula after this one, but it's probably just because I played them all so close together. Still enjoyed it plenty.

  • Absolutely adorable! I think these two concepts work perfectly together. Too bad I am so obsessive about getting all the collectables that I make this easy game a headache to play.

  • I guess I'm not very good at this game, because I kept running out of healing items. This difficulty lead to me abandoning this game. Though I do enjoy the soundtrack.

  • I've heard some not so great things about this game. I have plenty of other other Tales games to finish, so I might wait on this one for a while.

  • Just started this third adventure.

  • All right, finally made it to the last game! The story has taken another bizarre path, and I'm curious about where it's going. But I can't stand the structure of the gameplay. Might end up watching a Let's Play of this one instead of finishing it myself.

  • Got gifted this for Christmas. I probably take way longer with the puzzles than I should, but I'm enjoying the story so far.

  • Played a bit of this on the PS2, then abandoned it until the HD version. I think this game is gorgeous and it explores some interesting mechanics. But I didn't always enjoy playing it. Part of the problem is that I'm just not good at action games. I'm also not good at drawing. But I did think the game went on a bit too long, as well. Still, I managed to get through the whole game, and I felt like it was a good experience overall. I'm glad I decided to give the game a second chance.

  • I was always sort of interested in this game, but watching tons of Spelunkin' with Scoops convinced me. I've completed the main game on the Vita, but I'm still trying to at least get to The City of Gold.

  • I was completely charmed with this final turn in Nathan Drake's story. This game is gorgeous and filled with heart.

  • I watched various endings to this game online, but I figured I'd like to poke around in it myself someday.

  • Another game I watched most of online, but wanted a chance to explore on my own. Beautiful story!

  • Loved the anime, so I'm hoping to enjoy the game as well.

  • Speaking of visual novel games, I watched this one come together from a recommendation of a friend. Still haven't really played much of it, but I will.

  • I found this at my local store, and it seemed interesting. Visual novels are apparently becoming more popular here.

  • The controls are very clunky, and the plot has gotten a bit too dark and gruesome for me to continue playing. I think I might watch a Let's Play and just skip over the whole lizard part. *Cringe*

  • So, I've always liked the idea of catching Pokémon but not really the idea of fighting them. This game lets me play Pokémon my way. I still pull it out any time my Mom is driving us somewhere.

  • Free from PSPlus. I have so many visual novels to play now!

  • Pretty and pleasant to play. Lovely music and atmosphere. Really enjoying it so far.

  • Just started this, but I like it already. I love story-focused games, and it's great to see a very different setup. I really like Max, and I'm looking forward to getting to know her better.

  • I absolutely loved the first half of FFXV. The second half slowly went downhill for me. But the story still stuck with me in an unexpected way.

  • I'm nervous about this game. I enjoyed the first one, but this seems to have little ties those characters in the trailers I've seen. It just basically looks like the same setup with different characters. Oh, well... I'll give it a shot.

  • Just started this.

  • Looking forward to starting this, but I have so many other Tales games to finish!

  • I've only gotten through a couple of palaces, but I am totally in love with Persona 5.
