Link's Awakening is in my top 10 (along with Ocarina) but couldn't get passed the first dungeon. Sorry Zelda ... you may have to save yourself this time.
Was it the whole time thing, odd structure or unlikeable characters? Perhaps a bit too different after Ocarina.
When a game is on your shelf still in it's cellophane wrapper, it's not a good sign.

Couldn't get throught the tutorial. Everyone says it's great but I went back to Homeworld instead.
Full of great characters but the game was ruined by that one early driving mission I could never finish.
Too different or not different enough? Either way, lost interest and only played the second disc once to remember why I hate Halo multiplayer.
Since PES went wrong, I buy this every year. Don't know why though as I get bored after a few games. Oh well, here's to FIFA 11.

Having been a huge Tekken fan, this was a step too far for me. Realised very earlier on that I would never be any good. A bit too intelligent for me.
After so many years playing the earlier games in various systems, this just didn't hit the spot. The playing area felt a bit too cramped.
I played the first few battles and then ran out of money. Then they took back my city and I threw a strop and turned it off.
Two words - "Steam Sale".

My type of game ... but never got into this for some reason.
Sid is a god. Perhaps this is just a bit too different from Civ to get into.
Halo? Check. RTS? Check. Gave up after tutorial? Check ...
Remember being blown away by the graphics and especially the sound. Hit the section in the shower room and gave up.
So many good things about this game ... probably.
Got through the tame driving sections and the Ravensholm. Really need to get back into this ...
Should really finish HF2 first ...
Have bought twice now ... will never complete HF2 and episode 1 to play this.

Grew up on WipEout and 2097 (bought both soundtracks even). Looks much better than it plays.
Bought on DS ... and didn't get through the third mission. Bought on PSP ... haven't even started it up.

That first infiltration mission after the tutorial. Shot out the lights, got spotted, pressed eject.
First is a classic both in terms of story telling and gameplay. First encounter ended badly, swore a lot and gave up. Haven't been back to Rapture since.
I wanted to like this, I really did. They did a great job (especially coming from Disney) but just didn't stick.
Looks great and the rewind feature reduces the road rage. Still got bored though ...

Ironically, after 13 hours of the tutorial I finally gave up.
Apart from VII, Final Fantasy games always end about a third of the way in.
Yes, I should have played this on PC (instead of 360) but still didn't like the characters after a third of the game.
Over 100 hours of gameplay apparently - I got about 40 until I gave up.
Still not as good as the first game.
The first was a bit loopy but had enough fun bits to keep you playing (and enjoying the story). Do you get off that ship at any point?

Stopped playing this pretty early on. Just didn't like the characters, gameplay seemed a little too rote.
Multiplayer is sublime - single player is not.
Unpleasant single player story. Same old multiplayer.
"Tools of Destruction" was fun ... this just seemed too similar.
Too dark ...
No matter how carefully I would set up the traps ... it would always end the same way. Go onto the second level at least.

After years of Tony Hawk button mashing, still difficult to get over a kerb. Feels like the game environment hates you as well.
Twee characters and poor dungeon design spoil this charming game. The use of Chopin is really interesting, just not enough to carry through JRPG cliches.
Killing zombies is great fun ... why does the game hate you so much?
A bit more approachable than GTA but get stuck on a mission too often and the frustrations appear again.
