" When a guy expresses his feelings and then someone responds "shut up emo".  He said cheer up emu kid. Actually it was kinda funny. You opened yourself up to this when your broadcasted " your so called problems" on a open internet forum.  "
Really when you look at it though even if it was a joke they both have the same meaning behind them. Sure I can understand a response like this on an internet forum. Wanna know why? Because there are fucking pricks out there. "
What makes you think you're any better? so far all you've done is looked for attention to your non-problems. When it was denied by me and you were called on it, you responded by being aggressive and insulting. Which I don't mind, however, it certainly doesn't make you seem any better. No, what it makes you seem like a narcissist who thinks his problems should be cared about by everyone, and that you are special and deserve attention. Perfectly in line with my "there are no losers" mentality hatred that I predicted earlier.  Again, why should I care about your pathetically insignificant problems when compared with people who have real, legitimate ones? "
You know your actions can have a large effect on people. Words can hurt a lot more than starvation. The body is far more resilient than the mind and can heal much faster. Living a life without love is worse than living hungry or poor. I'd rather live in a shack with people that truly care about me than live in a huge house and have no one. Wealth does not buy happiness. In addition, when someone is clinically depressed, making him feel worse can cause him to have suicidal thoughts among other things. If you want this kid's blood on your hands then so be it. As far as I'm concerned you are no better than a murderer. If you haven't been reading the news we've had quite a rash of suicides in this country of late because of people like you who take people who are down and make them feel even worse. This kid has no one to talk to so much so that he wrote about his problems on a gaming forum. I'm glad you are a great macho man who has his life totally under control. I just hope that when you have some serious emotional problems everyone you talk to is just as much of an ass to you as you have been to this guy. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I'm on chapter 12 or so and I've never had a problem with the camera. Sometimes enemies hit me from off screen but it's easy enough to just block once you've taken out an enemy to give the camera a chance to zoom back. I've only died a handful of times in combat sections. Just make sure to upgrade your health first. The extra attacks aren't really all that valuable. Also upgrade the strength of the plasma blase and your firing speed. When you go into first person the camera is pointing where Monkey is looking. It has worked perfectly for me. Honestly the enemies do so little damage and can be so easily blocked that it isn't much of an issue when you get hit a couple of times. Just roll and block. I assume the boss at the end of chapter five was some form of the dog. When you respawn and he is close by just quickly hit R3 to get on your cloud and fly away. You can also dodge out of the way. If it is the ball and chain dude then just dodge. He can't hit you while you are rolling. it is all about timing. I don't know, I haven't had a problem with the camera, but I have a really good sense about where enemies are in a game. I am playing on the medium difficulty or whatever it is called. Maybe on hard the enemies do a lot more damage, but on medium/normal you can survive almost any battle if you are careful.

I'm going to rent it if it gets decent reviews. They said they fixed most of the problems of the beta. So I think people should give it a chance.

I like the new design. Dante in DMC4 I wasn't a fan of. He was fine in the PS2 iterations but this Dante is just as good. I'm open to change. Ninja Theory is known for making great characters in their games that often have a strange look to them. Personally I love it. I'm glad they are the helm. They will make DMC interesting again.

Well according to most reviews Enslaved can be finished in eight or nine hours while Castlevania takes over 20. Personally I like the art of Enslaved, and the story looks great. Castlevania has been getting very mixed reviews. Some people seem to love it, others seem to hate it. I would say that the combat of Castlevania is probably deeper and there is a lot of gameplay variety. It really depends what you are into. Enslaved has a better story, can be beaten more quickly, and is easier. It also has the unique interplay of protecting Trip while also surviving yourself. Castlevania is longer, more difficult , has a weaker story, and is essentially a ripoff of several other games.

Take your pick. Also this is just what I've read from reviews, speaking that the games aren't actually out yet.

I'm not sure about the lag on Lol but my brother has sunk thousands of hours into the game and still plays it daily. I would say that these types of games are most enjoyable when you are playing with friends. Trying to coordinate a battle with people you don't know is difficult, and most players are douches to new players. Find a friend who plays the game and learn from him/her. Trying to learn DOTA style games on your own is hard. There are tons of strategies and techniques that require an advanced player to teach you. It's really hard to get into on your own. You'll likely just get trampled. Also, I hate the art of Lol. It is atrocious. But that doesn't effect gameplay, so I guess no harm done.

I kind of agree with those from other countries. Games are cheapest in the US. We have no reason to complain. In most other places in the world we'd be paying at least $90 if not $120. Bitch away, but know that we have it good. To answer the question posed, I probably would buy much fewer games per year. I would never steal games. Personally I don't see prices rising that much for a long time barring some sort of nasty inflation.

Buy fifteen black lemurs (probably a fifth of their whole population these days) and keep them as house pets. Give them bubble baths three days a week and make sure to buy a lot of tall trees. They like jumping. /thread

Well you have to make sacrifices. Do you go to a party or do you play a game? Do you go on a date or play a game? Let me tell you, having a girlfriend can really cut into gaming time. In fact friends in general can cut into gaming time. You really have to choose between having a social life and gaming. I know it's a hard choice but I know you'll choose correctly.  ;)

Also we call them nursing students and I'm not sure if there is a single word for building models, but handcraft isn't really correct. I would say the word drafting would cover it.  Not perfect but it would get your point across. It means to draw or design sketches or plans of something. It can mean any drawing, but it is common in architecture to say when drawing or designing a layout or plan of a building that you are drafting. Hope that helps.

@Tebbit:  I enjoy Sonic today and I never played it when it first came out. My first experience with the original Sonic was playing it on the Xbox collection. Now you could save at any point, but I don't find Sonic so hard that it couldn't be beaten without saving. On the other hand, playing an Atari game from the 70's or early 80's is another story. I owned an Atari 800 as a kid and I doubt I could go back and play those games with the same zeal today. Oh and I love Citizen Kane. Powerful, moving story. Still a legendary twist that has rarely been equaled. New movies aren't always better. German Expressionist movies from the 20's are brilliant. Metropolis is superb.

@OP: I was a PC gamer as a kid. My parents never let me own a console. So I missed a lot of "classics" not because I was too young to remember them, but because I had no access to them. Now I've gone back and played as many classic games as I've been able to. I find that many games hold up very well. I find Super Mario Brothers hugely enjoyable today. I like New Super Mario Brothers and Galaxy as well, but I honestly prefer 2D Mario to 3D. I do feel a bit of superiority when, say, someone who loves World of Warcraft has never played Warcraft 1-3. That doesn't make them any worse, and honestly I shouldn't really feel great for being a fan from day one, but I do. I guess the way I look at it is that it's harder and harder to expect someone to have played the classics. If you are 13 the chances that you've played an NES, much less an Atari, is pretty small. Your interest in doing so is also pretty small as well. But someone who has played those games does have a lot of perspective and appreciation that a 13 year old doesn't. It's the same as with movies. Most people don't even like watching black and white movies, much less silent ones, but those people who have experienced a vast number of films throughout film history sure has a lot more perspective. So in a way his opinion on a lot of matters really is worth more. For example, if you've never seen Dances With Wolves then chances are you'll enjoy Avatar more than someone who knows the story is a complete and utter knock off. Assuming people know about the past is not smart, but holding the opinions of those who do in higher regard certainly is.
