the game part of APB looks pretty mediocre, but I would pay $15-$30 for the character creator if it came with a way to view and rate every other character created.

PC only, the 360 version got canceled in last December. "

The problem I see in the videos is it looks like GTA4 MP only not as good.

I heard it's pretty bad.

i played beta for about a month, really boring after a few hours.

I played it at PAX East and was not impressed.

Not really the previews made me not even interested in this if it was free to be honest.

I may or may not have played the demo depending on when the NDA expires, but I must say this game does not warrant any sort of monthly fee. I'd pay the original $50 for the game itself, but that's it. A half-decent character creator that's not better than Aion's or Champions' and mediocre action we've played before. I lie to you not when I say it's almost the same, if not worse, than that one multiplayer mode in GTA4 whose name I can't remember....

I've been interested in going into PC gaming. Would this game require a souped up machine? Or would a basic laptop work?

I will admit, that it does look good. But not better then sex.  I'm a sexoholic!
