Alan Wake Continues to Haunt My Dreams

It's been more than three years now since Max Payne developer Remedy Entertainment first whetted my whistle for Alan Wake, but I feel no closer to understanding exactly what this game is, let alone a sense for when it will be released, than I did back at E3 2005. There's a new trailer out, which you can see in all its HD glory over on Gametrailers.

Yeah, I was really glad to see this confirmation that the game does indeed still exist and is progressing. Got a real Stephen King, "Secret Window" type of vibe from this one.

I really want to see some gameplay for this.  It's good that they're taking their time, but I mean at show us something more than a pre-rendered trailer.

Consider me officially anticipating this game again. Any new piece of media for Alan Wake is awesome, but what 'd really like to see is some actual gameplay.

I've already seen this, but hot damn do I want to play this game.

I remember being intrigued by the initial trailer way back when. Glad to see some more is finally coming to surface on this game.

The mystery about the game development has given this game an identity.

Hmm interesting. I as well never really understood or sure what to expect from this game back when I was last reading about it. Now I'm curious.

Why the fuck are they making this instead of Max Payne 3?  They should not have announced this game, or any game for that matter, if they are not prepared to show gameplay and more than a few little teasers within, i don't know, 3 years!

If this game plays as good as it looks then im sold. Ever since it was announced its been on my 'One to Watch' list, and I loved the Max Payne games so theres another tick in the box.

I'd assume they're working on Alan Wake because they had spent like six years with Max Payne and wanted to try something different. They're taking their time because Remedy is a small team and they want it to be of high quality.

I've been trying to avoid info on games like Fable II, Fallout 3 and Mirror's Edge. With moderate success. So I find the lack of infoz to be a good thing. I'm tired of knowing pretty much everything there is to know about a game before I even get to play it.

Some Rockstar studio is making Max Payne 3, rumors say. Would be weird if they bought the IP rights only to do nothing with them. But it's been five years since Max Payne 2 and no announcements, so I guess them doing nothing is in fact a possibility.

Alan Wake is a nice, and refreshing take on the action genre, tag me as hyped for this game!

Yeah, I'm all over this game...I like the cinematic elements that games like Remedy infuse their games with. Hopefully we see this game released before next year's holiday season. I'm sick of having to chose between 3 games to buy every week in October and November.

This game was one of the reasons I bought an Xbox 360.  Two years ago.

I want ALan wake so bad. I loooooooooooove Max Payne 1 and 2. Max payne 1 was the first full version pc game i ever played to completion .And it was bloody brilliant .I played it for for the 8th+ time 2 weeks ago and its still freakin' awesome.,so theres some sentimental value there too.(I was a console +CS1.5 guy before that)

Didn't see no crop circles. Doesn't look like the type of game I'd enjoy.

Oh, they just slapped the MS name on that trailer twice...such a shame
