Batman: Arkham Asylum Looks Quite Hot

I wasn't too sure how this game would turn out, but it looks pretty awsome

I love how it's like, this is on the Unreal engine, so Batman has to be MEGA EPIC BUFF.

I'm still not sure about it myself, but I can say that this is what i want a batman game should look like.

"My Dear Delusional Dark Knight."  Was Joker talking about Batman or the little kids still washed up in the movie hype?  This game looks like trash.  Slow, laggy, and forced.  Game looks like trash.

This...looks...AWESOME! I 100% agree with you Jeff, Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy voicing their respective characters is the way it should BE! Graphics and everything else look amazing as well.

It's like I'm watching the Justice League or Batman: The Animated Series all over again. And that is a good sign.

The only thing...is that i like the Heath ledger sounds joker MUCH better. To bad he's dead. (R.I.P)

This game looks like it'll be at least OK.  I think the cover mechanic mentioned in the article may just be used for stealth.  It wouldn't make sense anywhere else in a game like that.

Thank God Hamil and Conroy are doing the voices. I wouldn't be able to take this game seriously without that!

I wasn't very interested in the game until I saw this trailer. I was a huge fan of the animated series that ran in the 90's so it gives me a huge, fonboyish boner to hear those two voice acting those characters.

Definitely keeping my eye on this one.

This looks like a good game, and I am very glad to say it :) We need a good Batman game again.

Really looking forward to this game, its sort of got a dark gritty yet clear comic book style to it and obviously Arkham Asylum itself looks absolutely amazing as do the character models. Since when did the Unreal Engine manage to look that good?

Really annoyed by how many folks are slamming the trailer because of Mark Hamill's voice work for the Joker. That surprises me so much because his voice work is exactly how and what I imagine the Joker would and should sound like. The same with Kevin Conroy and his voice work for Batman, its just what I imagine it would be like if they really existed.

The one thing that bothers me is reading up on some previews for when this trailer was released there was mention of some RPG elements and a "detective vision" mode to help you solve puzzles and see through walls etc. Not sure how I'd feel about that in my Batman universe. Otherwise I'm really looking forward to this.

This game looks sick. A survival game in Arkham Asylum is a treat for true fans of Batman.

This game looks to be pretty awesome. I especially like that they got the voice overs from the animated series to do Batman and Joker's voices.

This is the game. Looks and sounds the way a Batman adventure should. Also, the Batmobile looks hott.

Mark Hamill is sounding old and a huge LOL at the Gametap voice over guy doing what looks like Commissioner Gordon's voice.

Ooh hell yeah, I really hope the gameplay will be as good as the visuals (which are damn sexy).

Looks pretty cool. Altough the music seems a little too computerized to be taken very seriously. They should get the Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard soundtrack from The Dark Knight in the game, or at least bits and chunks of it. Still, looks rad though.

I agree, I want to keep an eye on it, because the visuals are great. Just want to see some more gameplay. Maybe we can see Batman using some more gadgets to get around, escape, etc. Maybe it will have multiplayer, or perhaps co-op with Batman and Robin side by side? Ah, probably not.

The best time I had playing a Batman game was the one called Rise of Sin Tzu, I guess because I like that brawling style beat 'em games. Still need to finish it actually...So I hope the combat is kind of like that game, but that's just my opinion.

I'm intrigued, but I won't be buying on Launch day.

This game looks amazing...hopefully this game will put Batman back to the gaming glory he deserves and maybe Marvel could learn how to make a decent single Superhero focused game after that horrendous Spiderman Web of Shadows game.

For the most part batman games are usually good to play through, starting all the way back with the NES one( i know there were a few BEFORE the nes one but ya know) looks interesting.

Im REALLY glad they got Mark Hamil to do the joker again. say what you will about Ledger's or Nicholson's joker, but Hamil has by far the BEST joker laugh you can get, its so god damn creepy.

This game has me interested because they got Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill to play Batman and The Joker which is just awesome.

Does indeed look promising, though not a fan of the extra long Batman ears. Guess there is precedent for that in the comics buts it just looks kind of weird in 3D.

It sounds alright, especially as its an 'original' story, not tied to any particular film. They were implying that batman would be very powerful throughout, which seems logical. Hand to hand he is strong, but weak against guns. There is an element of stealth, but they were phrasing it like you were staying hidden to gain an attack advantage rather than for defensive reasons - ie you would sneak around hunting the enemies to take them one by one. I think you move quite fast doing this, rather than crawling on your belly the whole time.

Finally a gritty batman game! They are putting Unreal Engine 3 to good use.

Hadn't heard anything about this game till now. Having great voice actors is a start, but I will wait to see some actual gameplay before I get really interested though.
