This was outstanding!

Spent four hours, FOUR HOURS on this with my ex-roommate and we were able to beat exactly two of the bosses...
This game is HARD. VERY hard. Within the next hour we were able to beat most of the bosses, finally discovering their weaknesses. But still! Even WITH their weaknesses...this game is HARD.

Jeff's anger is quite amusing, it reminds me of my own experiences with the original games, in which I would literally chew on my NES controller in boundless frustration.

That was awesome, props to you Jeff.  I think we all feel your pain.

ahoodedfiugre: I'm not sure what you mean.  You could fire in 8 directions in Mega Man 2.

Jeff & others: have you tried it on the Wii with the classic controller?  If it's really like the old ones, a better D-pad should help.

I'm actually pretty good at this stuff. I can get frustrated, but never to the point where I want to stop playing.. However, if it's glitches or poor game design that's killing me, to no fault of my own, that's when I start yelling.  I had Jeff's reaction while playing Mercs 2.

played the demo and it tore me apart. And as someone who has beaten most of the original line up of Mega Man games I'm not sure if it's harder or if I've gotten worse.

I was able to beat games like Last Battle, Rygar, Mega Man 1-3, Castlevania, Target Earth and others with the limited (sometimes one) lives you got back in the olde days.  Now I'm lucky if I make it past the first level.

File this under "Be careful what you wish for".

That first few seconds says it all.

I say nearly the exact same shit as you. "Oh yeah that's fair" "Wonderful." "Oh, great. Yeah that was cool. *mumble*fucking game*mumble*." Although instead of dropping the controller, I've set up a nice big wall of bed that I can just throw the controller to, so I get to throw the stupid controller (because it's clearly the controllers fault for me losing, clearly), and be able to pick it up and start playing after yelling for a moment. This rarely happens, although I've noticed a lot of EA games and LucasArts/previously owned LucasArts games have been pissing me off as of late. Mercs 2, Battlefield: Bad Company, Force Unleashed and so on. Those games are far too easy in places, then kick your ass in the worst ways >:(

mega man games are definitely hard, but that is most of their charm too. it's definitely for a fixed crowd of people.


Also, I'm just now realizing how AWESOME the music in this game is going to be. Come on OCT 1st!!!

I feel your pain Jeff. It took me a good 45 minutes to even deal with the fact that I was dying so easily. 2:45 min and I still need to beat Hornet, Tornado, and Concrete Man. Those friggin' elephants and their huge balls kick my ass every time. I still get so frutrated trying to kill that stupid flower on the rotating platforms that I exit out of Hornet Man's stage and cry a little. And it's cool to see Mega Man's hair and all, but why does his helmet go back on when you need to continue? What a waste of bolts.

I'm really not one who gets frustrated easily so I'm not really getting upset while playing this game. It's really good though and hard. I've only gotten 4 bosses so far but I'm having a blast!

Man, I was doing the same thing last night. I couldn't stop playing though. I think I sat there for 3 hours and only finished 3 bosses. F**K Jewel Man's stage!
