New site live for joint Nazi-killing venture from your friends at id, Raven, and Activision.
Activision has posted the new site for Raven Software's upcoming Wolfenstein sequel, which, apparently, is just going to be called Wolfenstein. You can head over there for a spot of media and news on the game, though I have shamelessly lifted all of the screenshots for your perusal here.

We'll be getting a firsthand look at Wolfenstein in the very near future, so stay tuned for some hard info. In the meantime, I would invite other developers of World War II-themed shooters to ruminate on a truth Raven clearly understands. That is, the best way to keep your WWII game fresh? Nazis in robot suits.
The slowing down time mechanic made sense in Max Payne 1. There built the scenes around it to where you really did need to use it to do well. Every other game that has used it including FEAR it has been nothing than a crutch for piss poor players. Its old now. Developers please stop doing it.
I agree about the ID thing. What is Wolfenstien without ID? An orphan? A red headed step child?
The graphics arent that good, but we all know WOLFENSTEIN is WOLFENSTEIN, even though the new one is copying FEAR (you can slow down time), CALL OF DUTY(ironsights), and GEARS OF WAR(a cover system). I dont really care where do they get their gameplay cues from, as long as its awesome and you can shoot some mutated zombies with that awesome music, Im down. And we all know Raven Soft. can make good multiplayer games.
PLEASE GIVE US SOME INFO ON MULTIPLAYER!!! Please please please!! I and many others could care less about the single player. We pretty much know it will be mediocre, BJ against the Nazis. BJ can use the "veil" for otherworldly powers similar to bullet time etc. No MechaHItler etc. We know we know we know. There...I wrote your preview. Now please give us real EXCLUSIVE info on multiplayer...then you will be GOdz.
Did the Robo-Nazi with huge shoulder lanterns really need camouflage on his armour? Where's he going to hide? In the shadows he just banished with 1,000,000 candlepower pauldrons?
In that 3rd pic the guy is holding the weapon wrong, in fact it appears that the models hold all of the guns the same way. I hope they do a little more research before beta.

RTCW was Grey Matter and Nerve with permission from id, so anything's possible. Although Raven kinda soured me after Quake 4, so I'm a little reluctant.

Don't wanna rain on your parade BoG, but id didn't make the last Wolfenstein either. They only published it, same as this one. And Raven has a pretty good track record for FPS's I think, I know I played the hell outta some SoF2 MP.
It does indeed look a little bit dated, but nonetheless RTCW was probably the definitive team based FPS of it's time. I practically didn't play anything for like 2 years except RTCW! So I'll still give this Wolfenstien the benefit of a doubt, It might just be as good as the last one.

Compared to RTCW this game just looks bad and generic :\ RTCW had the best graphics for it's day and it still prides it's self on having some of the best pre DX 9 fire graphics.
This game better have multiplayer thats as good aswel.
dont care. i think its too late to even attempt to try and convince consumers to purchase a game like this. we already have resistance series and i think that about cuts it.
WOW! i remember asking for Return to Castle Wolfenstein for the Christmas 7 years ago in 2002 the first ever PC game i got (Come to think of it i must of only been 12 at the time). This is a must buy for me not only because it looks great but also sentimental value.
