Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight and as always I, @zombiepie, am once again honored to be your host this week. As the deluge of insanity this past week finally subsides, there are plenty of notable events pertaining to this community worth reviewing. Last weekend marked the main community effort to raise money for Extra Life 2016. As of the publishing of this edition of the Community Spotlight, the Giant Bomb Team was able to raise over $216,000! This places Team Giant Bomb as the top "team" participating in Extra Life 2016. By itself, Giant Bomb individually was able to collect over $100,000 for Extra Life 2016! A hearty number of thanks are in store for all involved with streaming this year, as well as donating. Many thanks to the staff, guests, and users that took time out of their schedules to help support a great cause. Most notably, please remember to thank @matt for organizing the team and managing it throughout the event. With that aside let's review the site related "housekeeping!"
- Extra Life 2016 - Speaking of Extra Life, remember that the donation page will remain usable and open for donations until 2017! If you were unable to support the event last week feel free to do so whenever possible.
