Which system should I get Borderlands on?
" PC version assuming you have the patience to wait. achieviements are a pointless waste of time for those who haven't figured it out. "That's your opinion. Many like achievements, as do I, because it's basically a record of what you've done gaming-wise. You can see how far or how much a friend did in a particular game and some find it fun to challenge themselves and get achievements.

It's less that they're super challenging and more that they bolster the community aspect that the 360 does so well" PC version assuming you have the patience to wait. achieviements are a pointless waste of time for those who haven't figured it out. @damian no, videogames are fun and rewarding. there is nothing fun or rewarding about doing killing every single antlion in hl2 ep1 or doing something thats impossible to NOT do in a normal playthrough (like getting 15 headshots in re5)
achievements could be good if there was some kind of actual reward to doing them or if they where actually challenging. most achievements are lame, however.
" achieviements are a pointless waste of time for those who haven't figured it out. "Trophies actually made me like games I'd normally won't have patience to deal with, like Sacred 2 or The Force Unleashed. A bit of adding shit to my score and BAM!, the games became great after getting used to them.
Apparently the Steam version is slightly different to the normal PC version, they said it has been optimised with proper PC style menus. whether anyone can confirm that perhaps?
" This article from brad should help you out. "This is a rather old article.
Also, wasnt Brad playing on a 360 in that quick look?

It doesn't add up to me. if you've got a computer than can run Boderlands clean and smooth, this seems like a no brainer. Better looking, possibly better more precise control, and a mod community. That is assuming the PC version isn't buggy and sloppy." @mhkjtha said:This. They allow you to compare your progress with all your friends. " @jukezypoo said:No I was just defending the idea of achievements. However, I'm getting it for the 360 because most of my friends have 360's, whereas most don't have gaming rigs. In the end, I'd say that's what it comes down to. Get it for the system your friends will get it on, since this is really a game to be played with friends. If you don't have friends who are going to play it, it's a pretty easy decision to go with the PC version, unless you care a good deal about achievements of course." @FluxWaveZ said:But is it worth playing the inferior version of a game just to do this?
