So as many people may have known, there was a twitter based Final Fantasy XIII event that was ongoing until recently, if you signed up, you would get a free baby chocobo for your avatar. Well the codes finally went out (at least for my region, Canada) and I got my chocobo, it looks pretty cute. 
 
HOWEVER, I was talking to some friends who didn't know about the free chocobo, so I thought I would check the website to see if its possible to still get a code, and I noticed that the page on the UK version of the site has a chocobo that looks.. 'A Little' different.

What I don't get is why there's two different models in the first place. Just means they wasted more effort to disappoint half of their customers.

I doubt that the UK model actually looks like that represented.  They had that same nice Chocobo model up on the US side saying it wasn't how the thing would actually look.
 
It seems there's limits to the detail of 360 avatars and the items, so the model probably looks like the second for everyone.

Both of those are rather ugly, in my opinion at least.

That's pretty weird.

There is only one model. They had a base picture up before it came out, and now that it's out they changed it to the actual model.

I downloaded it US. I don't like it. It's not a chocobo, it is a flying chicken. A little bird. I can't even see the resemblance even when I try xP

It clearly says on the UK page "The image is a representation only, and is not final". I'm sure it'll be the sucky one in all regions.
