I'm guessing it'll come down to Modern Warfare 2 and Uncharted 2, but I'd go with Batman.

Judging by review scores and Bombcast impressions I'd wager it comes down to Batman vs Uncharted 2 for GOTY.

Here is to Uncharted 2! it is really deserving and so is Batman Arkham Asylum. 4 hour podcast!? I can't wait. Do you guys think it will go up today or tomorrow. Hopefully today because It's my day off so I need something to listen to.

My money is on Street Fighter IV. They all played that and loved it.

I'm guessing Uncharted 2 will win - well deserved imo.

I think it will be between Assassins Creed 2 and Batman. That being said it could very well be Dragon Age. I would be happy with any of them really, 2009 was pretty amazing.

Left 4 Dead 2, Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Killzone 2, Modern Warfare 2, Street Fighter IV, inFAMOUS, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Borderlands, Dragon Age: Origins, New Super Mario Bros Wii, Brutal Legend, Demon's Souls, Shadow Complex, Halo 3: ODST, Bionic Commando, Empire Total War, Madworld, Halo Wars, Warhammer 40K: DoW2, Fear 2: Project Origin......are but a small number of the more 'well known' games to be released this year. Every one of them has a chance to win GOTY as any GOTY award is purely down to the individual judge's discretion and feeling.
 
Looking at that small list of this years releases, I'm not even going to bother speculating on the winner. But I will say judging from that list I can see why it took 4 hours or there about.

I seriously want the full 4 (!!!) hour podcast, with the complete discussion, make it an epic uber-pod. Cant wait too see which they go for, Im hoping its Uncharted 2 though.

Their top 4  are going to be Batman vs Uncharted 2 vs Assassins Creed 2 vs Modern Warfare 2.
 
Not everyone played Batman (looking at you Brad) and I think Ryan said he didnt understand where all the such positive comments/hype came from, so I'm going to guess Batman in 4rd. 
 
The ones that they debate (like they debated GTA IV and MGS4 last year) will be AC2, U2, and MW2 with U2 winning out, MW2 taking 2nd, and AC2 taking home 3rd. 
 
I also think you'll hear quite a bit about Shadow Complex.

I'm not sure if they all had a chance to play enough Dragon Age to truly consider it.  I'm 25 hours in and, unless the second half ends up being a real disappointment, it's my GOTY pick.  Uncharted 2 was amazing as well.  It's almost impossible to compare such drastically different games.

Killzone 2 was 2009? really? I really can't remember when it was released it feels sooo long.

i think itll be uncharted, since borderlands is fun but still only 4 stars, batman is good but has a few flaws in it, mw2 is more old mw1, dragon age is pretty old hardcore crpg which not every1 is into and killzone was generally a bit boring, it was mostly the graphics that carried it out

Uncharted 2. It was a debate between MW2 and that I bet.

I want Vinny and Brad to fight for Resident Evil. They both loved that game, and so did I, my personal Game of the Year.

Lets hope Tony Hawk Ride gets in the mix. Lol, Just kidding. I'd say the final four will be Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2, Dragon Age Origins, and Batman Arkham Asylum. But there could be other ones that could surprise us.

Yeah, I'm sure a few of these won't be on their mind. But I can't wait to see the outcome.

It depends what they're looking for - I can see the definition of GOTY causing a lot of debate.  I think Jeff could successfully argue that MW2 is 'GOTY' due to the impact it had both inside and outside of gaming, the build-up, the controversies, half the Fall '09 games moving out of its way etc. - and he would have a point, MW2 unquestionably defined the year in that sense.    
 
But if they ignore all of that and just try to reach a consensus on which game was 'The Best', I can see why it is taking so long.  MW2, Uncharted 2, Batman, inFamous (maybe Dragon Age depending on whether they all got around to playing it - unlikely) all have a shout due to their differing opinions.
 
Here's the thing though, I don't think AC2 has a chance, because they didn't 5 star it (though personally I'd applaud them for GOTY-ing a game that their individual reviewer only 4 starred, but that's very unlikely) - but I reckon that also takes inFamous out of the equation, simply because I'm not sure they'd reach a consensus on inFamous actually being better than AC2 (because it isn't).
 
Ultimately, I think Uncharted 2 will be where they reach consensus, despite it possibly only being Brad's individual GOTY.  I really hope it's anything else.  Out of the three that have a legit chance, I hope they choose Batman.

I'm thinking it will be Batman, they have all seem very pleased with the game and it's not the obvious choice.
 
Will be disappointed if its MW2 considering the podcast will have lasted longer than the single player campaign. Game deserves best shooter or multiplayer, but not GOTY.

Like last year's GTA IV and MGS4, it will come down to Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2. Uncharted 2 will win.

Someone had better mention Fallout 3. I feel that the DLC for that game gives it life for a 2009 chance, but I also don't think that it would be enough to give it a win over the other top-notch titles released this year.

I can see Jeff pushing Borderlands heavily but i think it will go to Uncharted 2.
