This is actually here? Is this a necessary concept?
Showing Half a Face on Box Art
. . . really?

Yeah, it's just a quirky little harmless concept. Just like the "360 games without shooting concept", (even though that has a lot more games) concepts like these aren't really harmful if they're applicable and accurate. I think of it as a page for someone to stumble on and be like "oh I never noticed that."
I like it. It's a bit like the Games with numbers where letters should go concept. It's concepts like this that makes Giant Bomb great. Funny little quirky concepts.
I don't mind that - what if someone was trying to think of a game, and all they could think of was "there's a half of a face on the box" and like someone said, there's little chance of whoring. And i suppose a box designer could go there and see how they look in one place.
"That's actually an awesome concept. And it can't be point-whored because not that many games apply.I'm with him, that's a pretty sweet page. Funny and well-defined parameters.
Where else are you going to find a list of games that show half a face on boxart? It's a perfectly applicable concept, I don't see what's wrong with it."
"Lies said:Does it fit the bill for what a concept is? IF we have this, should we have "Games that Have Massive Instruction Books"? It's not really related to the game, but the box. Is that OK? I don't really know."That's actually an awesome concept. And it can't be point-whored because not that many games apply.I'm with him, that's a pretty sweet page. Funny and well-defined parameters."

It's the little obscure things like this that make GiantBomb special. It's the stuff like 'shoes' and 'grass' and whatnot that ruin the magic.
"Jeff said:I don't see why we couldn't have a concept similar to that, but the parameters aren't well defined. "Massive" is very ambiguous. It needs to be defined better. Perhaps a "Games that have instruction books with more than X pages". But we'll need to decide what that number is. It needs to be a number that would exclude the majority of instruction books."Lies said:Does it fit the bill for what a concept is? This page has been up since at least the first couple of weeks of the site. I remember seeing it. And i dont see how its easy points cause its not like a concept like human, where so many games can be attached.
Lol some people have time to waist, still it's random shit like this that set Giant Bomb apart from other gaming sites out there.
"If you think that this is ludicrous, wait until someone adds the "Game" concept page."I get to make the "Games that have graphics" page.
"I think this a really funny concept. This kind of stuff is what makes this site special."
I not only find it to be a funny concept, but it definitely peaks my interests, as I do graphic design art from time to time. Things like box art are something that I pay a ton of attention to, and the fact that someone has pointed this page out to me gives me a far more comprehensive look at the do's and don'ts of making graphic art.
Half-faces definitely = don't. It's too cheesy and becomes more and more common.

I think that's an awesome concept. Funny trends and stuff like that is what the concept pages are for, right?
