Maybe wait a bit with this Claud, everyone is still shocked by the news. I don't even know how I feel about the future of Giant Bomb right now.
Not the sort of thread I'd associate with a mentally stable individual.
Never been stable. Always been Claude.
I don't understand? When did they leave?
If you don't know, well, then the forums never found you.
Damn you Claude
I was a very frequent poster on Gamespot and still am to a certain extent, but there are more and more trolls over there as the days go on. So I just signed up here, and typically, the party's apparently over :(
I think the addition of the notifications system, which can tel you when your friends update blogs or mention you in a conversation, is a step in the right direction. Being able to track the blogs of the people I follow again makes a huge difference to me.
By the way, for anyone not receiving those notifications, you do have to set them up again in your options menu. Just FYI.
Party's over, so many threads are devolving into shit storms way too early. Too much snark and not enough discussion in some cases.
I don't know. It sure feels pretty different and somewhat lifeless at times just reading the forums compared to how it was 3 years ago when i joined in on the fun. But then i realise that i never got involved to begin with. I've managed to get to 2600 posts without ever attracting any attention and never really connected with anyone in particular.
I mean i've ever only posted on someone's wall once and it was because i saw a video about a guy named Barry and it involved a sandwich... He posted in the thread, he'll recognize himself.
I may or may not have gotten in an argument with Animasta that one time too.
Yeah i feel i got here too late and only caught the end of the party and was new and just didn't know anyone and now that i feel like i know everyone they're all gone.

Its pretty sad when you look back on your forum posts and realize the thing you might be remembered for (if at all) is posting every rumor for Battlefront 3 you came across
;_;
I expect that the forums will eventually return to normal for the most part, but that we will still see "it was better when Ryan was here" threads on a daily basis. Ryan was a huge part of what made GB. It's going to be hard to find somebody to fill the hole left by him. I don't know that there is another person like him in video games.
But it will all be worth it when I am finally crowned The King of Video Games™.
@sparky_buzzsaw: Agreed. It makes the following system actually worth a damn again.
