Yesterday I bought the THQ pack from Steam. Wow, 50 bucks I got 20 something games. I did not know they had deals like that. I wonder how many other great deals I have missed. What is the best deal you have seen on steam?
Did not know about Steam
They always have awesome deals, I usually see a pretty good deal at least once a week. And for those who don't know, Left 4 Dead is $7.49 on steam right now.
" Steam has some fantastic deals. Your wallet will pay. Literally. "I thought this was funny :D Steam really does have some awesome deals, but I still find it a little expensive.
Kotor for under three dollars gave nobody a reason not to own it.
Unless they didn't have a steam account, or a computer, or something like that
" @Kohe321 said:Heh, since I started using Steam about 5 months ago, I've bought 16 games ranging from $45 for Borderlands and Left 4 Dead 2 to $2 for Osmos and Team Fortress 2. I wouldn't have nearly half the games if not for those tempting deals." Steam has some fantastic deals. Your wallet will pay. Literally. "I thought this was funny :D Steam really does have some awesome deals, but I still find it a little expensive. "
I expect to buy another game or two before their big sale is done on Monday.
I'm addicted to Titan Quest right now thanks to the THQ pack. There is a big ol' discussion about the holiday sale over in the Steam forum here at Giant Bomb.
Steam's Early holiday, five-day-long, one-day-only-sale!
I love the pack deals. I had a look at my steam account and realized that I had over 100 games, but after looking through them I saw that most of them were games I got at the deals. It seems that I buy at least one game every other weekend when they lower the price to 'utterly cheap'.
The best deal so far was the Id Software one. Only miffed that they didn't wedge Quake 4 in it, but then again, Id didn't made that one themselves.
I've bought about 110 games on Steam, had Steam since it was released (3 digit SteamID Club :P) I've seen sales ranging from 95% off to $0.99 cents for specific groups of games, don't forget the pack's, I think it's like $89.99 for all of the Valve games now, when that goes on sale (happened once in like the last year) it'll be like $50.00. There's sales every Week, Weekend and Holiday, I used to keep a blog going for the Steam Sale's but I stopped that a while ago maybe I'll start it up again :P.
I got Left 4 Dead 2 for like $37 the other day, much better then at my local walmart for $69. All the new games on steam are at least $20 cheaper then in stores where I live, so I get alot of sweet deals. Also L4D1 for $8 including DLC, that is incredible. World of Goo for $5 on there now, maybe I'll finally have to pick that up.
For whatever reason Bioshock was $5 one weekend. I jumped all over that one asap. Such a great deal.
The Indie collection for like...$5 or something, came with a bajillion games. Then the Ubisoft pack with around 5 games, and classics like Beyond Good and Evil and Far Cry for $5.
Well in this 5-day deal thing I have bought the THQ pack and it comes with 15 games and I got Osmos and Lucidity, might get some more have to check what's there.
That THQ pack is probably the best deal I've seen on Steam. I would have got it but I already played most of the stuff on there I would want. Bioshock for £3.50 ages ago was probably the next best Steam sale.
You have to be careful though, or you just end up getting suckered into their sales all the time and then never playing half the stuff you buy.
