Assassin's Creed 2, Mass Effect 2, and Bioshock 2 most of all. I'd like to see more about the DSi, and I'd like to see some awesome new games.
E3 2009: It's On!
Would like to hear about a possible upcoming Elder Scrolls, a new Zelda for DS and/or Wii, Alan Wake, The Beatles Game, Kingdom Hearts 3 (multi-platform!), Mass Effect 2, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Ender's Game and Empire from Chair, N3: Ninety Nine Nights 2, possible release of the new Bleach fighting game on the Wii for the U.S, and many more things...
Maybe Cliff Bleszinskiwill elaborate a little more on his alleged survival/horror game...?
I know it's still a rumor but that would be really cool.
I'm dying for a good game in this particular genre, since Silent Hill: Homecoming and Alone in the Dark didn't really cut it for me.
Yes, Dead Space was excellent, but had a Sci-Fi setting, and i like it to be more earthly with a touch of the paranormal.
Oh well, we'll see.
I would like to see the new Zelda and hopefully Elder Scrolls games.
I wanna hear something about Mirrors Edge 2, I want to see what new features they will add to improve the overall experience.
Can't wait for the GiantBomb coverage.
i'm all about seein what the fuck I Am Alive is and what Splinter Cell is gonna look like on a 360.
it'd be dope to see some gameplay of Final Fantasy 13 Versus too.
and for those not on this list:
fuckin Team Ico i'm hopin makes an apperance because they shafted us in the ass at TGS.
Bioshock 2 needs some in-game display love.
Halo ODST should to come out of the closet and give us like a Polaroid pic of an in-game screenshot or somethin.
Mass Effect 2. i'll take anything on that. Bioware can wipe their ass with toilet paper then draw a picture on the back if they want to.
Alan Wake the fuckin Houdini game.
Rage. tryin to hide from us like we forgot about it.
MAG talkin all that 256-player scat. then show us some graphics, fuckin tough guy.
LA Noir. what the fuck is it?
Uncharted 2 gameplay, yo because those screenshots are lookin gorgeous.
Twisted Metal. anything on that would be dope.
2 Days to Vegas. thats like a sleeper-hype game because that game looks sandboxalicious.
Interesting to see Activision and LucasArts have tucked their respective tails between their legs and decided to grace this years E3 with their august presence. Fucking bandwagon jumpers.
WTF? Mirror's Edge 2? I doubt that will be announced for another year, if at all.
Looks like Battlefield 3 will be there as there was supposed to be some info today at a postponed press event. DICE has two Battlefields in the works at the moment. No time for more Mirrors.
EDIT: YAY for early June. Earlier in the year is better.
I want Nintendo to finally show their cards (not Hanfuda ones). I want them to show me the games I bought a Wii for, the AAA games they have expanded the audience for.
There's so much. Let's start with:
- Alan Wake
- Aliens: Colonial Marines [Wasn't even there last year.]
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
- Dante's Inferno
- Splatterhouse
- Wolfenstein
- Bleszinski's horror game
- Rage
- Doom 4
- The Darkness 2 [Yes?...Maybe?]
- A lot more good PSP games
- More Giantbomb
I want to see something from Blizzard about the new next gen MMO-RPG not made inside any of their old worlds. Their WoW movie, starcraft 2 and D3! I want to hear about anything from Valve! Mostly Half-Life. I want want want, more Bioshock, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Dead Space, Gearz, CoD4, Uncharted, FF13, Halo (not wars), and more more!
Of cource, I also want to see Giant Bomb there too.
I want to see a trailer for Shenmue 3. And one for the Final Fantasy 7 remake. Ha ha. Just kidding. I'm honestly just anticipating the press conferences. The Nintendo one from 08 ranks pretty high on my "things that made me laugh so hard that I became scared, while still laughing, that I was going to do some sort of irreparable harm to my body" list. Man, Wii music. Whew, that was great.
But seriously, the game that I really want to know more about is Mass Effect 2, even though it may be something of a known quantity. It's hard not to think: "Of course that game will satisfy, it's from BioWare."
Oh yeah, and I'd love to be inundated with a whole spate of new Live Arcade and/or PSN classic releases. More specifically, I want arcade brawlers like X-Men, Alien vs. Predator, D&D: Tower of Doom (or the other one), etc. I'll be satisfied even if they're just announced. I'd like to think that, as part of a promotion for Gearbox's Alien games on the horizon, that the classic Aliens arcade game would be brought to Live. *sacrifices a plump heifer to the gaming gods*
I'm gonna go out in left field and say Gray Matter. Adventure, ho!
-I've gotten interested in Battlefield recently, so any news concerning that series would be awesome.
-Would really like to see a release date on Final Fantasy XIII, and perhaps some material on newer Square Enix games in the works.
-Aion from NCSoft looks pretty good, I'm not a big fan of MMORPG's, with ffxi the only one I play (mostly because I'm a fan of Final Fantasy) but this one looks good.
-I know I'm being optimistic, but a new game in the Zelda series would be tops.
-Ace Combat is one of my favorite series, I hope there is a newer game announced at E3.
Theres probably lots more that I cant think of now; hope theres a great showcase of games!
-hiro
damn it jeff i wanted E3 to just die and be done with and for some reason i'm now excited about the thing.
here's my list
- battlefield trailer and info
- something surprising for once
- Kojima's new Western-IP
- bayonetta
- MAG
- call of duty: next generation errr.... MW2
- Black Mesa. i know i know it's a mod. c'mon valve maybe give them a little section showcasing mods/developer tools or something
- left 4 dead expansion
- Kudo Tsunoda
- Carrie Gouskos. alright sorry! i'm a perv. sheesh
from the i'm totally bat-shit category
- Kojima rebooting NARC in 3-D. you know the gunfights would be F'N awesome
- Itagki's new game is a sequel to River City Ransom. this time your a gang of women. it's an RPG. LMBS combat type.
- Vinny interviewing Ryan Payton
[alarms blaring] [lights flashing] [camera tilted at an angle] "... i can't change the laws of physics captain!!!" <Warp core eject in 30 seconds>
- Warcraft 4 (Strategy Game) im still hoping :D
- Bioshock 2
- Huxley
- Diablo 3
- Starcraft 2
Thats about anyting i can think of right now :D
I want to see some good PC games get announced. More footage of the the GB crew walking around and talking about the games they've seen as well. Also film Vinny slaving over some computer, editing video and taunt him by saying you're making more footage he'll have to edit. That's mean I know but also hilarious.
I thought game journalists hated the old carnival-style E3. With the ESA's return to that format (boobies, again) do you think the show will once again rank as the video game show of the year or do you believe that title has now passed to PAX, TGS, and whatever the Germans are doing now that Leipzig has changed as well?
Let's see...
Mass Effect 2 (I want to fight me some Reapers!)
Elder Scrolls V (I'd say it's about time for it)
New micro-expansions for Sins of a Solar Empire (love the micro-expansions idea and I'm super excited for Entrenchment this month)
New content for Team Fortress 2 (still have a few more classes left to update, and Meet the X videos to make)
Overall, though, I'm just happy with the return to the spectacle of years past. Maybe it's not so great for the journos, but I (the average jackass at home watching it play out on the various sites) am going to love it, I'm sure.
I hope for some big 2009/2010 releases; Dead Rising 2, new Panzer Dragoon game or Otogi game!? And although i´m not a Wii owner, i can´t help but wonder what cazy Wii peripheral is going to be the Next Big Thing, after last year´s cardboard box... Let´s Tap! But maybe we have to wait until TGS for that...
With Rebellion on the list, I'm excited in knowing if whatever they have to show is Battlefront 3 as the rumors indicated that the game was packed off to them.
