My favs are Cod2 Big red one and COD5...also Day of Defeat and the expansion. Yours?
Favorite WW2 Video games?
Battlefield 1942, the Commandos games, Company of Heroes, Call of Duty 1 and 2, the old MoH games, Soldiers: Heroes of World War II. It's an overused period for sure, but those are some awesome games right there.
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, and Medal of Honor: Frontline were the first games to give the player the "war experince" that is so common nowadays. So yeah, those two.
I'll go ahead and say COD:WaW, if nobody else will. It's a good skin of a great game. And I trully enjoy it quite a bit.
CoD 2 is imo, the most well crafted, frantic, heart poppingly immersive WW2 shooter ever made, after that it all just seemed fucking pointless making any more. And for some reason I absolutely cannot stand Medal of Honor, usually i'm down with the whole dogs shooting rockets from their mouths, nazi supersoldiers, etc, I mean I really enjoyed the wolfenstein series I like the silliness of that kinda style of WW2 shooters, but for some reason I can't abide MoH.
About the only thing leftover that needs to be done imo is what I originally thought Legendary was supposed to be doing (how wrong I was) and if you want, kinda what The Darkness did in some of its levels (although that was WW1) and that is a fantasy WW2, IE your regular old WW2 but in an alternate universe where things like werewolves, vampies, zombies, etc and magic are real, almost steampunk if you will. Can't remember the name of the PnP RPG that did that, but it was cool.

Well not obviously to the same fantasy extent, but Resistance is very much that kind of thing.
Nah Resistance is, essentially a zombie holocaust (kinda, I guess, the creatures are mutated humans though right?)
When I initially saw the screens of Legendary, with the wolves and such, for some reason I assumed it was a WW2 shooter.
Nah, what I want would be something along the WW2 segments of Hellboy or Hellsing, with a little Castelvania in the mix. FPS, RTS, Platformer, doesnt matter to me, it's the style i'm looking for. Sick of seeing werewolves, vampies etc in swords and sorcery RPGs.
