Bionic Commando PC (June 2)
inFamous (June 2)
Prototype (June 9)
I bet some people disagree but when somewhat similar games like infamous and prototype get released in the same time frame, that's when Metacritic is really the one that is going to be deciding what I am going to buy.
Game Releases in JUNE???
im excited for inFamous because its been getting a lot of positive feedbacks from critics so far. i think it will also get a higher metacritic score than Prototype, but thats just my prediction.
Red Faction Guerrilla and The Conduit look pretty cool. They are also coming out in June, and yeah a bunch of good looking games are coming out in June.
This is the only time I will let Metacritic tell me what game to buy...
Acutally, I should just buy them both.

I know INF is in may now though, but I'm mostly looking forward to Bionic Commando, Red Faction Guerilla, and Batman Arkham Asylum atm.

Well, I take you are a 360 owner, therefore the "blows away" comment that is completely unfounded because there's no way you can tell.
Infamous seems to have more depth to the story and seems to provide more variety to the gameplay. So the open-world/gameplay/story is its focus. Prototype seems to be a dumb and linear game, with repetitive gameplay. It may appeal to ADD kids who can't keep focused for more than a few seconds, that think destroying things just for the sake of destroying them and graphical mayhem is good.
For anybody that ows a PS3, there's no question which game you should buy. First party Sony software is always superior to anything else, third party either on PS3 or 360. So your choice basically is between a great game well crafted and built for the PS3 from the ground up, therefore taking advantage of the platform, or another crappy port of a half-assed game.
"As good as inFamous looks, Prototype looks even better..."
Infamous = software especially built for the PS3, taking advantage of the platform, with excellent gameplay and depth to the story;.
Prototype = a dumb and linear game that will be crappily ported to the PS3, whose main attraction seems to be the mayhem you can cause
First party software is always better.
"Uh oh, Thiago's got another fanboy rant. :D "
Dude, people might start believing you are attracted to me or something.
Where did I lie? Aren't first party or exclusive games for the PS3 the best in that platform and the only ones that seem to explore the potential of that machine?

I wouldn't necessarily say that first-party games on Sony platforms are better than other games. They're usually very good, yes, but third-party developers do great work too. It's irrelevant to me whether a game uses all of a system's "potential", as long as the game is fun. And both Prototype and Infamous look to be solid games.

I dont think thats necessarily true I mean they might take advantage of the hardware a little more, but I think that this gen has gone beyond just graphical prowess (at least in my opinon). Dont get me wrong I think Infamous is gonna be good, I am just side with Prototype because it has more of what I would like in sandbox game, fast action mixed with some stealth and crazy acrobatics. At the same time I am aware Infamous will probably have a better story and city.
Fight Night: Round 4 is out on the 30th, and since the delay of Batman, is looking to be my most anticipated title of the month.

It is always true. I want to see what this machine is capable of and not to play some limited crappy version of a game just because the other platform, the 360, can't handle it. Killzone 2 is evidence of that. All multiplatform games mysteriously are kept under 8 GB (why would that be?) for example, among other limitations.
Infamous was built for the PS3 from the ground up, it is another evidence of the quality we can expect.
Hardware limitations do not make a game bad. Being a bad game makes a game bad.
Sometimes games are restricted by the system they're on (Shadow of the Colossus), but most of the time they still manage to be fun (and in the case of Shadow of the Colossus, amazing) regardless.
"I think Prototype will do better because I want InFamous to be better and I have horrible luck"It doesn't matter what sells, it matters what you enjoy.
But all the early previews suggest inFamous is far more polished. Watch this weeks Invisible Walls for another glowing inFamous endorsement.
Hype train still hasn't hit for the game though. Doubt it will.

Well I'm really looking forward to Red Faction: Guerilla and the Sims 3, I'm rather excited.
I can't stop playing the demo for Red Faction, Bionic Commando also looks cool :D
This summer will be good AHAHAHA
