It's confirmed. Vice City it is.
GTA V "announced" today?
Taking it back to Vice City for 5? They did take it back to Liberty in an amazing way for 4, so sure. Excitement growing.
It could most likely be fake. It would be nice to find out if Rockstar does announce Grand Theft Auto V in the next couple of days.
Whoever made this needs some Photoshop practice, that PS3 logo looks bent as fuck. Plus, look at that Rockstar logo. There should be the yellow Rockstar Games logo and the blue Rockstar North one. No Rockstar studio has just a straight black logo (The closest is Rockstar New England, which is black and green). Wouldn't there be Xbox Live and PSN logos as well? There's small no copyright text at the bottom of the page, either.
It's definitely fake, to be honest.
So either this dude has been reloading the address /V for a while, hoping to see something....or he just had an inspiration and entered it at the exact moment they for some reason published a mockup to their live server? Unless Rockstar is the worst web developer ever, most companies do not use their live server for testing page designs.
As I see it there are two options due to the way it was "leaked". Intentional leak by Rockstar to get word of mouth going (unlikely as it would've looked better). Or it's faker than the tans on Jersey Shore.
Definitely fake, but I still expect to see Vice City as the next location again.
Which is fine by me, if it's done in a huge realistic style like Liberty City was in IV.
Something like San Andreas couldn't be anywhere near as detailed and couldn't be as big as it was on the PS2. Would simply take too long and too much money to develop, not to mention the hardware limitations that would be involved.
Looks pretty fake but either way it's awesome to hear a new GTA is being made, although the fact that they seem to be choosing pretty much the SAME aesthetic for Vice City is a little "neh".
GTA:V doesn't make sense because they only change the GTA number when they pretty much restart the series. Hence why Vice City wasn't GTA IV and San Andreas wasn't GTA V. But I think it's pretty obvious that the next game is going to be set in Vice City, whether this is a hoax or not doesn't change that.
If they ever go back to San Andreas again and decide they can't do the whole "state" thing, I hope they go with Las Venturas. Vegas is the most interesting locale in that game.
I don't really trust things like this when a person with one post gives a link to some place I've never heard of. I could be wrong, of course, but it also looks really bad/fake, too. I guess we'll eventually know!
Looks fake to me, remember seeing so many fakes for GTA4.
Hope Rockstar Games do something refreshing, GTA4 was fun but all to similar to past GTA games for my liking.
i'll eat my hat if this isn't a hoax. grandtheft5.ucoz.com, the world's most reputable source, i'm sure.

You kids need to take off your nostalgia glasses. Those games were pretty bad. The shooting especially.
They played fine. Yeah they're clunky as hell now but guess what? A lot of games from that period are." @OmegaPirate said:

GTA IV hasn't aged that well and that's only coming up to 3 years of age. The shooting in that was still pretty shitty, RDR got it right.
Edit: At least the driving in the first 3 was fun.
