World of Warcraft, it's not that great of a game. All it did is bring lots of annoying people into gaming, and made people misunderstand gaming. Also, if it didn't exist, imagine all that time that's been stolen from people by it, imagine what could have been done! I wonder what the number is for accumulated time for all players of WoW.
Gears of War, because of the gigantic onslaught of colourless, drab environments brought by it's imitators. Guitar Hero 3, because a beautiful thing was whored out to a company that made a damn fine skateboarding game, but a "bad cover" (if you will) of the rhythm game series.

They'd be playing some other game. Or watching TV. Or maybe partying with their friends, doing "normal" social things. Regardless of what they do, they probably wouldn't cure cancer.
I don't get this reasoning when it comes to WoW. It's not some cursed time-waster that automatically turns good people into basement dwellers. It's just somewhat better at hooking people than other MMOs.
@Bigandtasty: I agree, c'mon people. you think if people were stripped of video games, they'd be all that productive. no, they'd be surfing the web watching tv. hell the same thing happened with people in the 1920s with alcohol and the radio :P theres no limit to humans amount of sloth and glutany.

Dude, he was talking about the 360/PS3 one. That's what he linked to. So, he basically did say every sonic game after sonic adventure.
Call of Duty 4/Halo 2 because they are responsible for a thousand clones that hold back actual innovation. And really weren't very innovative themselves to begin with.
Temple of Elemental Evil because it split Troika Games, and VTM: Bloodlines became their final game because of it.
Fallout 3 because it bastardized the Fallout brand and became canon. I can forgive the awful Brotherhood of Steel games because they were not made into the canon.
@Bigandtasty: Thats a possibility, but theres no garanty that Atari wouldn't have made there own Super Mario Bros. or something equally as awesome if theyd stayed in business. Either way, I'd still like to see ET not exist because it represents the first in a long line of terrible movie tie in games.
Star Wars Galaxies. The devs ripped our hearts out with that one. Think about your favorite game, and then having developers completely change what you love about it until it isn't even a ghost of its former self.
halo 3, they didn't really change anything to the game beside new maps and weapons.
bioshock 2, they didn't need to make another game. it is totally different ur playing as a little sister instead of a human.
halo wars, do i need to say anymore about this game. it was halo universe that played as a RTS. console RTS usually play bad.
superman 64, the was just about flying threw loops all day with bad controls.
two worlds, the game lagged really bad, the graphics look worse then a ps2/ xbox/ gamecube game. the voice overs were even worse. u heard a little feed back when the characters were talking.
*only read the first page of replys* Halo post Halo 1. i've never owned an xbox or 360. i'm not a sony fanboy. i loved being dropped in the middle of a story i had no clue about unless i took the time to play the game, and play i did, roughly 30 times. i loved it, my friends loved it, it was pure and focused (minus a couple parts). action at it's actionest. then the sequels came, my xbox fanboy friend (he wouldnt deny) lauded it. figuring i would enjoy it too i played about half. i hated it, hearing stupid cameos i shouldnt have recognized, bands playing distracting songs (including Vai- who i love- at his worst, no really, i couldnt believe it was actually him). it seemed the game wanted to take the experience away from me. multiple player characters was a good idea though. it was fiction i should've but couldn't care about. didnt play the third past the first level. i just don't get it
anyway, now my friend swears by microsoft and wastes his money on premium Halo themes and other nonsense. sure it's his privilege, but i just don't see the apparent necessity. despite it's evil, i'm a passive person and will play it coop when asked

I would love to know the reasoning for Fallout 3 bastardizing the brand, but how Brotherhood games get a pass.
@ProlificShadow: thats what I thought when I read that. besides my girlfriend is going crazy ov getting bioshock 2. I just hope she isnt dissapointed shes rally hyped up for it after i got her playing the first one
