Nintendo Power is at it again....
So what will it be this time?
Star Fox Wii?
StarTropics?
Earthbound 2?
Kirby Wii?
Mass Effect 3?
Sonic in Space?
Somehow... my expectations for this aren't very high. I'm guessing yet another misuse of the Starfox License.
" How close is this issue going to be in comparison to E3? I'm sorry, but I would assume that a StarFox reveal would be saved for the big game at the Nintendo Press Conference for E3. If it seriously IS StarFox, then that's an underwhelming way to announce it. "It's not. It's going to be Pikmin 3.
" @jakob187 said:But they've already made public the fact that they are working on Pikmin 3. I'm going to go with a completely off the wall guess and say that the issue will unveil the existence of Urban Champion II: StarTropics III." How close is this issue going to be in comparison to E3? " @AgentJ said:Yeah, but they haven't unveiled it before, and haven't really had an "official" announcement. We take Miyamoto saying so as official, but we haven't seen any pictures or concrete details. And for Nintendo Power readers, the very existence is probably news." @jakob187 said:But they've already made public the fact that they are working on Pikmin 3. " @AgentJ said:Yea why would they surprise people with something they already said was going to happen? I am betting its Star Fox, there hasn't been one in awhile." @jakob187 said:But they've already made public the fact that they are working on Pikmin 3. The "colour us excited" makes me think of Kirby. After all, he is quite recognizable, no? He's a pink blob with a face and limbs.
Give me my Lylat Wars 2, you assholes!
Funny how one of the only good Starfox games is released under a different moniker here.
Looks like I was probably right. Cover game is Metroid Other M. The astonishing new title might be the new Bonk?Technically they didn't say they're unveiling or announcing anything. They just say they're going to have a cover story for a 'new' game. Probably the new Metroid. If they're making a new Star Fox, I'd bet it's on 3DS, but too soon for magazines to be covering it, IMO.
A lot of people seem to think it's a new Star Fox game, but I'm not sure what Star Fox even means at this point. I actually liked Star Fox Assault, but then again I was 13 at the time, so perhaps I have a distorted memory of what that game actually was.
Speculation aside, I really wish that this announcement would be Pikmin 3, or maybe Retro's new game. Either of these releases would help bring to the Wii, that which I loved so much about the Gamecube.
