I bought the Ps2 regular in 2000. Spyro the Dragon Crash Bandicoot Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Tomb Raider Silent Hill Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Fear Effect
I played it only a few times, because I hated the games. It had the worst Tekken (Tekken Tag Tournament) and I didn't really care for FF or Grand Turismo. The Mortal Kombat's were definatley the worst of the worst.
Anyway, I'm thinking about buying a slimline for $40 and getting Ps1 games. Maybe get one Ps2 game. (Shadow of the Collusus)
This is my list of Ps1 games I might get:
Nightmare Creatures
thoughts?
Ps2, I might buy it
Also get some PS2 games. You may not have liked the games you played before, but there are now a ton of great games available for the system.
Or you could just get a PS3 and buy PS1 games off the PlayStation Network, but then again, a PS3 isn't $40.
The PS2 had some awesome games, but yeah if you want to purchase one go right ahead, but you could always try and find an 80gb ps3 that backwards compatible, unless you own a PS3 already.
If you never experienced the MGS (Metal Gear Solid) stuff I'd definitely recommend just so you can see the ten years of storyline build up to MGS4.
"I cant believe anyone takes this guys posts seriously. I am pretty sure he has made a post denouncing every single system in existence. To be honest, I didn't notice when I responded. But I see that I was right about his motivations in this thread.
Silly trolling all the time."
I got this game and it's a total stinker lol. You seriously got some bad taste in games man, why dont you buy a PS3 and get Killzone 2...Croc: Legend of the Gobbos
Good luck trying to not buy a shit ton of PS2 games once you start digging and realizing how many would appeal to you. Sounds like you might enjoy:
- Ape Escape 2 and 3 (might want to get the first on PS1 while you're at it)
- Castlevania Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness
- Drakhan: Ancients' Gates
- Ghost Hunter
- Gun
- Haunted Ground
- I Ninja
- Jak & Daxter (second one is a pretty weak game but the third more than makes up for it)
- Klonoa 2 (you really should consider picking up the first for PS1 while you're at it)
- Kya Dark Lineage
- Legend of Kay
- Okami
- Onimusha (trilogy! It's cheap!)
- Ratchet & Clank (first one is good, second and third are amazing, fourth isn't bad)
- Rayman 2 Revolution (don't bother with the PS1 Rayman 2 unless you really want to play the exclusive levels)
.....I would list more, but I'm sure you don't care and I'm wasting my time. Nonetheless, these are just recommendations based on what you apparently enjoy for the PS1 and what I've found enjoyable.
