I hope no anti-game activist is going to use this as some dumb excuse for games being dangerous. We should totally ban TV's now because some people connect them with eye-disorders.

If you're getting palm sores from videogames, you're gripping the controller too damn tight to begin with. Thumb blisters, however, aren't at all unheard of.

Jesus Christ.  Its a damn blister.  Just like running or any kind of prolonged high impact jogging would give you BLISTERS on your feet, playing a console for hours and hours and hours on end might give you BLISTERS!!!  God I hate the medical people.  ITS A FRIGGEN BLISTER GET OVER IT!!!

"Every young male knows that if you death-grip anything for several hours a day you're going to experience some kind of detrimental physical effect."

Goddamn, that had me about crying with laughter.  Good one.

The young girl's first step to becoming a hardened veteran gamer. No pain, no gain.

I guess it makes sense that a girl would get it, as they don't have experience gripping things tightly in their hands.

Remember Mario Party (one)? That tug o' war game, where you had to use your palm to rotate the stick as quickly as you could? Me and my cousin both had round blisters right on the palm of our hands. It was awesome... I wish that I had picked at it more, so that it would have left a permanent scar.

Hah this is ridiculous! The crazy part is that she didn't stop once she saw the sores developing. It couldn't exactly be hard to figure out the cause. Oh, and I wonder what "several hours a day" really means for this girl...

Seriously funny. Especially that last sentence. GI Joe should have put out a PSA about their dangerous Kung-Fu grip as a warning to all "young males."

Yeah that's a problem for me with my PlayStation 2 controller, your hands get sweaty after holding it for some long. I never had any problems with the N64 and get it infrequently on the Xbox 360 (only after hours of playing or my body is sweating for some reason); it might have to do something with the shape and compact size that gets players have sweaty hands.
